My father and I both have AFS v2 and both of our units are starting to leak. I know about the petroleum jelly and whatnot, but I kind of think that is just a band aid to a problem. Not to mention Petroleum jelly is not broken down by the body and generally not safe to consume.

I have been using a food grade lube. It is entirely edible and I have used it on soft serve ice cream machines. The brand I use is called "taylor lube". It is odorless, tasteless and transparent. It also has the same consistancy of petroleum jelly as well. It has helped on my AFS, since it started leaking, but ideally I would like to replace the o-rings. When I install the new o-rings, I might add a little taylor lube to the o-rings that get the most abuse.

I have two questions:

1. What are the size of all six o-rings? The Vaporkings site only has 3 mentioned....
(I don't want to measure with my caliper, because they may be out of shape/size/stretched.)

2. If you have bought your own food grade o-rings, where did you get them?
(i can easily any size here locally, but they will not be food grade....)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/119701-danco-oring-co.html check out this site FreeGT, I'm not sure there food grade ORings but food grade isn't necessary in my opinion when it comes to ORings, your lube sounds good to but I also dont think the small amount of Vaseline will ever hurt anybody ever. The website also has a list of suppliers, there are also tools to check for the size of your ORings if you search around a bit

you can buy a cone type thing to slide the o rings on the see what size they are.

I just use a caliper to measure inner/outside diameter, and thickness. The "cone thing" sounds like it would only tell me the inner diameter. This thickness is important as well. I just didn't want to tear down my afs to measure the rings. Not to mention the rings might of stretched a bit. But it looks like that's what I'll do.

I was really looking for food grade o-rings because the juice comes into contact with the orings and the aluminum which can be reactive to some substances. I just don't want to worry about chemicals leeching into the juice I vape. It probably won't make a difference, and I'm most likely paranoid, but better safe then sorry.
