Yes, another noob asking "omg like which should I get?". I'm looking for an ecig to reduce smell, toxins, and guilt found in traditional cigs; to be able to smoke in public and in my dorm; and to smoke with the tasty flavors.

Here's about me:

-I am only a social smoker (and hope to stay that way). I indulge a few times a week if I am out with friends or seriously stressed. It's more of a cure for social anxiety than addiction to nicotine.

-Call it vanity, but how the cig looks is pretty important to me. I have a serious (we're all 18 here I assume) sexual smoking fetish. The reason I like the three listed is they have a solid color body, same color battery and "filters", at least in the ads anyway. Solid color cigs just rub me (and my boyfrend!) the right way lol

-Like I said, I am only a social smoker, so battery life isn't terribly important to me as I won't be using it constantly, but it is nice to have at least a decent battery life. Cartridge life is more important.

-About Blu and Prosmoke ecigs, are they solid colors? I see that the black ones are with both brands, but when I see the white batteries sometimes they have white cartiages and sometimes brown. I'm so confused!

-Vapor isn't really a problem for me either. I mean, I want vapor, but if the vapor output isn't amazing that's no problem.

I'm really leaning towards Prosmoke at the moment. I rarely see poor reviews on them while I see many on Blu, mainly on the cartridge quality and battery life (I assume its due to the shortness of it?) I haven't heard much about the Luci, maybe you guys can help out with that?

The only one you mentioned that I'm familiar with is the Blu - and I can say I've not heard good reviews on it.

I use a 510 Yeti (solid black) that I got from AltSmoke.com. Considering you are just kind of a "social smoker", a 510 would do you great. It's about the size of an analog cigarette, but like I said mine is matte black finish.

Well, I have the blu, and although some people don't like it, I think it's fine. The main complaints seem to be about battery life and customer service. I think they have stepped up the CS. If you are only using it socially, the battery should not be an issue. It is small and sleek. I got the all black (black battery, black cart). I got the variety pack, but the vanilla and menthol seem to have the best taste and vapor. Haven't tried the java yet. I'm not trying to hawk the blu, just tell you about my experience with it!

I had a blu. It worked as intended. Will it work for a heavy vaper? No. Casual? Sure. I got it thinking it would be a handy kit to bring on the road. Turns out they are sound activated. It didn't play nice with the Harley. My mother-in-law has had it for months now and is enjoying it.

If you plan on going out to clubs with a PV the blu kit may not be the best choice.

The simple workaround is unscrewing the atomizer just enough to disconnect it from the battery. If it activates, the LED is a very minimal drain.

I ordered a Blu kit on December 23rd, still waiting for it to arrive (problem seems to be local postal service, not Blu themselves). I got impatient and bought an Envy Bliss from a local smoke shop. I smoked about 5 Ultra Lights a day, and the Envy is working great for me, haven't had a cigarette in a week. The Envy and the Blu appear to be very similar, so I would feel comfortable saying you should be fine with a Blu. I haven't had a problem with the automatic battery activating, but I work from home so no open car windows and loud noises to cause it to work (uness my kids count).

Good luck to you!

If you want a super-mini (exact size of a real cig) I would not go with ANY of the models the OP asked about. The Revolver Elite from revolvercig.com is MUCH better. I've outgrown mine, and it can't compete with the big boys like the 510 or the KR808D-1, but I've tried a couple of the super-minis, and the Elite beats them all hands down.

I see all the bad reviews about the Blu, and battery life really isn't an issue as I won't be using it too often. The main issue is cartridge life : cost ratio. If the packs last a long time, but are a bit on the expensive side, that's ok. If that are shot quality but are a dime a dozen, that's ok too. If they are "cheap" and costly, not so much.

Hey, if you are anywhere near Louisville, you can try my blu.

If there is an intended use/market for Blu, there's nothing in their advertising to suggest as much to a newbie looking to replace a 3-pack/day smoking habit. Their "Marlboro man" exhaling clouds of vapor doesn't look like a 3-cig-a-day-take-it-or-leave-it social smoker to me.

There is no correlation between 'smoking xx packs a day' to 'vaping xx amount a day'. None.
If this were true, then in reverse order I used to smoke about 7-10 packs a day.

Don't buy anything rebranded unless you know what model it really is, whether it is good model, whether you are paying to much for it, whether it is crippled by the rebrander (like carts or cartos made hard to refill).

In the M401 length this cigarette diameter PV is an OK PV for an light to moderate ultralights smoker who does not mind screwing with tiny carts that require an unbent paperclip to push the inner cart up for filling and a cart plug to push it back down. pain in the a carts but sexy in the black/gold (I use manual batteries)

I use a KR8 & love it...same size as an analog cig. Bloogplanet.com has made significant improvements to the design & battery life of the unit. They have different flavored cartomizers available as well. The KR808D-1 kicks the crap out of a 510 unit. I've owned both.

She's not trying to kick the crap out of a 510... She's looking for a light duty social vape...
