Cheryl,
Did you try it straight out of the mail box? Curious how much change you might have seen between then and now.
Sorry, i did not try it straight out of the mailbox. I received it on March 1st and just tried it today. Sorry i couldnt help you!
I have just got into the habit of all my juice orders to sit for 2 weeks at a minimum! Esp when its from company's like L7 that make juice fresh. No problem. I was just trying to figure out how much steep L7 takes. I have been using mine since I received them and haven't notice much change one way or another.
But I swap flavors so often I have a hard time remembering which is which and what it tasted like the last time.![]()

Just unpackaged my Lucky 7 order;
Grape Juice
Grape Candy
Butter Scotch
Malibu
Green Apple
Sour Apple
Blueberry Menthol
Lemonade
Strawberry Lemonade
Raspberry Lemonade
Blueberry Lemonade
Tigers Blood
MPS
Orange Cream
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
and two versions of "Macsnilla" my concoction of a vanilla peppermint flavor for testing.
I have uncapped each bottle to steep a while ..... but I'm not really sure they will need much steeping because they ALL smell good enough to drink right now.
What's the word on the Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Mac?

In the initial sniff test .... I'm getting strong Banana ... no strawberry. The Banana smell seems a bit "candyish" but I can smell the fresh banana trying to get out ....... using my limited knowledge of "e-juice steepage" .... I would guess the banana candy flavor will calm down to more of creamier fresh banana taste, and the strawberry will peek out after a week or two .... but that's just a guess.
After my tank of Caramel juice, I thought I'd finally try the Peanut Butter cup that has been taunting me with it's wonderful smell.....
I'm using the same setup as earlier, a VTR a new Aspire 2.2 ohm dual bottom coil in a clean Davide tank starting at 9.5 watts.
Initially the flavor disappointed me big time, for a juice with such a divine aroma, the taste just wasn't there, just an overall harshness in my mouth. I started playing with my set up by lowering the wattage, and the flavor started to come alive, I ended up at 7.5 watts and all is well, I can really TASTE a peanut butter cup .... which is kind of strange for me ....

My usual method for "steeping" is to let the juice sit open, with the cap and the needle tip removed overnight, and then let it sit "capped" for a week or two (occasionally shaking). This morning before replacing the cap the "candyish" smell has already seemed to die down a bit, and I'm smelling a more mellow natural banana .... still no strawberry though.
Mac,
I would suggest you also about an hour or whenever the small bubbles disappear after your occasional shakes open the bottle and let the vapor that has collected at the top of the bottle escape then re-cap. Those bubbles of gas that collect in the empty space at the top carry a lot of the chemicals used in the flavoring i.e. alcohol and other preservatives.
L7 flavorings do use some alcohol according to Mr. Sooner and alcohol does effect flavor and harshness. I believed it is used as a solvent for the flavoring agent and to some extent a preservative. When mixed with P.G the alcohol is no longer needed. P.G. keeps the flavor preserved and helps prevent stratification of the different components of the juice.
