don't know if this helps but this is from the wikipedia page on propylene glycol.

Possible air germicide

Studies conducted in 1942 by Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson of University of Chicago's Billings Hospital showed vaporized propylene glycol inhalation in laboratory mice may prevent pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases. Additional studies in monkeys and other animals were undertaken to determine longterm effects, especially the potential for accumulation in the lungs. After a few months of treatment, no ill effects were discovered.[17]

Infections imply one of two things; an injury that is later contaminated, or something viral.

I haven't heard of anything about vapor and lung injuries, but maybe germs were passed in the liquid. Thing is, PG acts like a germicide, so it seems highly unlikely. Take a sample of the liquid with you to the doc's office and see if he can do anything to check it.

I got bronchis right afer I started vaping. my wife and kids were diagnosed with and went to the doctor. I just didnt bother to go to the doctor because my feaver never got high enough. When I smoked an analog, I felt horrible. When I vaped, I noticed no difference in my condition. Maybe looser phleghm, but that could have been due to the guycinefen(sp) I was taking.
