Somebody help this guy!

Your juice is a mixture of VG (vegetable glycerin), PG (Propylene glycol), nicotine and flavoring. The mg you mention is the nicotine. By far, the majority of your eliquid is VG and/or PG.

What you NEED to find out is what the mixture of PG and VG is. VG can give you that heavy lung feeling. If your juice is more than 50% VG, or if you have a sensitivity to VG, you need to go with a higher PG mixture. I find that 50% of each is just right for me. You might need more than 50% PG.[/QUOTE
Wow. Thank you so much! I've never even read up on vapor till now. I love you guys! Lol. This info is going to help me a lot. I was just going off amt of nicotine & taste. Small town 1 gas station sells it. I'm going take your info read a little and hit the city to a smoke shop. You guys are fantastic. Thanks again : ).

I looked up Exotic and they mix at 60% vg/40% pg. Pike does not say what they mix at, and that would scare me. SO little info on their website.

I got a sore throat and mouth sores from high PG, so I switched to high VG and got the heavy lung and phlegm issues. I'd guess that you are sensitive to VG and you should try a high pg juice for awhile. IF your problem is VG, then a higher PG fluid will straighten you out. Sadly, doctors do not know nearly as much about vaping as they should.

If your problem is not some other medical condition, do yourself a favor and find a higher PG solution before going back to cigarettes. My heavy lung issue cleared up within a week or so of switching.

I'm really having trouble with this on my phone. But thank all of you for info you have given. I am going to the Dr just looking for information. I heard all the talk of embalming fluid etc. I believe it or not am a nurse. One of the worst patients.

My bet is that it is the VG causing this. I have been vaping for 5 years and am not able to use high VG or I get very congested. I make my own juice and stay low on the flavors as well.

Still, you need to see doc asap. Not trying to scare you but, pneumonia can kill you in your sleep. Nothing to play around with and it needs to be ruled out.

Once you rule out an illness, try using no more than 30% VG juice. Good luck!

I've heard that about you people!!

Don't think I've ever vaped embalming fluid, but I have had formaldehyde in beer while in Korea and in my Copenhagen while deployed. Not happy making.

Are you using e-liquid from a reputable company?

Thx again. Looks like I have a lot to read up on! I started looking in the right place. (CDC site thumbs down).

NO We have a retired Dr. That opened a spot at gas station. (Very small town). He actually mixes it himself. I also will grab Exoctic & Vikes. But mostly from doc & just go by flavor & nicotine

I'll wager a guess that a retired physician isn't using embalming fluid in place of PG/VG. Now as to his cleanliness or flavorings used, those may be problematic. Not worrisome, but since he homebrews you can ask him what he uses and where he mixes.

Unless your doc vapes i doubt he will know much. Try the doc and seenfor yourself.

Problem is probably a new tank, too low ohms and high vg or even pg juice.

First thing i would do is drop the wattage for the day

If better i would raise ohms, above 1ohm and try that. You can raise watts up a bit

Next i would try less vg for the day

Then try less pg and more vg for the day.

This should start showing a pattern.

I have been in your boat and for me and my lungs i am best staying above 1 ohm with high vg. Anything more than about 20% pg makes me wheeze. If i sub ohm its in the morning then i switch. My lungs cant take all day.

Lastly make sure youre drinking 2l of water per day min. Just skull a cup after every meal and snack if you hate it.

Basically its the current crop of tanks, high wattage devices and a lot of juices are high vg.

i found that the pg made my lungs real heavy switched to more vg and fell better myself

Unless your Doctor is a VAPER, they will have little or no valuable advise re vaping.. They can tell you if your issues are from other causes. But will have ZERO advise to offer re Vaping issues. The OP might want to try getting a hold of some juice with higher PG. At least while waiting for his Juice maker, who is a doctor, to return from vacation.

Go to a doctor if the issue doesn't clear-up with reduction in vaping the HIGH VG juice or via switching to a Higher PG mix.

If there is a pharmacy or health food store you might be able to get some PG locally.

You should really consider seeing a doctor. It may be vape related but then again it may not be. If you use an inhalor I'm guessing you already have underlying respiratory problems so the best person to advise you on a corse of action would be your doctor as he/she will know your full medical history.
