Welcome to the forum, Cathy.

I received mine last Tuesday, and couldn't be more pleased with its performance. Throat hit/vapor production is fantastic.

Having said that, the cartridge size demands that one “top it off” after every 10-12 deep draws.

As for battery life, the 3.7V units that arrived with my eGo kit are incredibly long-lasting, and I am very, very impressed with their performance.

This is my first PV, so don't take my word for it.

Bamm

Thank you for the welcome. I'm glad you got a product you're so happy with as your first purchase! If I could get as many draws as you get with this thing, I'd be a little happier with it. But three draws? Just not enough. And these batteries are just rediculous.

I got tired of the same issues with my 510, then I liked the DSE801 but only for dripping. Then I got the "Chuck" which is a beautiful battery mod but quite big and has it's place but...

Then I went with the KR808D, which you can purchase from various vendors. Personally I am happy with V4L, they cover all my needs, I enjoy the forum and they have great customer service...I LIVE on their passthrough at work and home, take a couple (only need one really) XL batts and a couple cartomizers (which you can refill many times to make them more cost effective)out with me when I'm running around...

That cartos should last you all day (I say plan two of them...no dripping, and even when you refill, you can get many analog's worth of vape from them). Dont quit before the miracle happens! Kind regards, Kimberleigh

I still may get one of these someday. I have pretty much made up my mind that the juice box is the one for me. However, it is quite large, and there may be times/places where it would be nice to have something smaller (but that lasts longer than my 510 batts)

I've gone to the site, but I can't figure out exactly WHAT it is...what it does...how you use it. Maybe I'm missing something on the site that explains it? All I see are pictures.

YouTube - The Bartleby Review
has more info.

I particularly like this design because it has the on/off switch instead of just a button. A button will at some point get pushed when in my pocket, that's a fact. The chance of something in my pocket flipping the switch, and hitting the button seems much less likely.

The AdapteveR with 16340 batteries provides an extremely solid, simple battery for the atomizer of choice. I use the 510.

An average charge on a 16340 in good condition will supply all the power the 510 atomizer requires for me to go through about 1.5ml of liquid. This type of charge duration with a 510/16340 combination will be comparable regardless the mod used.

This does not not address your desire to top off repeatedly during the day. For me this is a minor detail compared to what was involved when I smoked. It takes as much time, if not less, to top off the cart as it does to light a smoke.

Welcome to being smokefree, hope my thoughts help ya find what will work for you! :)

Wow, there are so many things out there, it's just amazing. And just to prove how clueless I am....this 16340 battery you speak of, is this the one that comes with the Joye 510? All I know is, I *thought* I researched enough to make a good decision before I invested...and honestly I can't say I don't like my 510, it works at keeping me off the analogs, but it's not going to work out as a long term thing for me. I bought the starter kit and an extra batt and atty. I have no idea what type of batt I have LOL!

And thank you, it is nice to be smoke free!!

While I do really enjoy the KR8 series from V4L, for me, it has been more expensive to use - even with refilling the cartomizers. So if operating cost is a choice factor, you might want to consider the RN4072 Penstyle e-cig. It has very large carts and batteries last far longer than the 510 batteries. It produces tons of vapor and is outstanding for flavor. It's my personal favorite e-cig model.

I will keep this one in mind too for a future possible investment. Thanks.

I have to throw in my vote for the Janty eGo / Totally Wicked Torpedo (both the same device, branded differently). It uses the 510 atomizer and cartridge which is something you already have, lasts 8-10 hours without a significant drop in production, and is simply a "no fuss" device. I would personally suggest dripping as it is much easier to simply pop out the cartridge every 10-15 drags and put a few drops in. I use a small glass vial with a dropper to carry my juice and drip. With the atty cover on the eGo/Torpedo, it's mess free as well.

I don't like those carts. That is one of my main complaints. While they hold plenty of juice, it doesn't get wicked down to the atty to use it all. I don't get the 10-15 drags you seem to get, no matter how many different carts I use. I get 3 decent drags, then I have to drip/top off. It's really annoying.

I love the 510 with the spring mod. I know it's on this forum somewhere on how you do this. My hubby did it for me. It lasts all day at work for breaks and lunch. Get a Bartleby, Chuck, Indulgence, whatever for batt. life. This has worked best for me! You'll be really confused by the time all of us give you suggestions!:(8-o:shock: Good luck on your quest!;)

I forgot to say it lasts me around 3 hours at home without filling it. Works great as long as the poly filler is not too thick. Hubby says it is called the ADM mod. Look in the cartridge mod section and the user name is scottyballs!

Thank you so much for linking me to it!! I actually found a pen in the house with a spring in it!! AND it was long enough, that I was able to modify THREE of my carts! I am using it now and have two more ready to go for tomorrow. :D

I am a bit confused with all the batt mods and whatnot...but, that's all to come I suppose. I am totally in love with Carlos's juice box though and I haven't even ordered it yet! Watched the videos on his site and just sat here with my mouth wide open and drooling LOL!

The spring mod is working well and will get me through the days until I get my juice box.

I figured if you gave it a chance you would like it. I am pleased for you. I use it with my bartleby and my Indulgence and have had no problems except for when I had one of the fillers that was too thick. Make sure they are fairly thin. Vape on and enjoy...I am so glad I could be of some help to you!;)

Ok, that's pretty cool. Something like that could possibly work with this new spring mod I've got going on. Thanks for the link.

I do I do! :) I should've been counting...but hrmm, I've take quite a lot of drags since doing the mod, and it's still going YAY!

Now which do you prefer, the Bartleby or the Indulgence? And why?

The indulgence for versatility and battery life = 24 hours and it is only $59 plus shipping and it comes with 2 batts and charger. It will do 510-901/KR808D-1 or 801 or 400 series. If there are any problems with it they will definetly stand behind it and make it good. This can be bought at EastMall. Just go to the top of the page to sponsering suppliers and find they at the bottom of the page. They are in China so it can take 8 to 12 days to get it.

The Bartelby is $50 plus shipping and you would have to get it specifically for the 510. It comes with 2 batts. but no charger but it has a passthrough that plugs in to your computer and you can charge the battery that way while you are using it. You would need to get a USB-A to USB-B mini cable for this.

The Bart is a black box mod and the Indulgence is tubular. The bart has an on/off switch which is nice but the Indulgence is more classy looking. I got mine in gold plating which will come off one day.

If you decide on the Bart you need to get a hold of Cybervex. He can be found on here somewhere. Someone should be able to direct you to him. If you have a problem just PM athlon14 and he can send you a link. You can find him in my friends list.

I did look up the indulgence and do like the looks of it. I did read where it said 24 hours batt life and thought "surely that can't be right!!". IMO, that far succeeds the bartleby's 4-6 hours. I know I really suck at math, but I can't be wrong on this one LOL!

I have some battery questions, maybe I should start a new discussion for that...or maybe someone here in this thread can answer it. While looking at the Juice Box, I noticed he's out of the rechargeable batts for it. I have found places online that offer the same type of batt (made out of the same stuff, same volts, same part number) however they have different colors and some different lettering on them. Like the ones on his site say ultrafire xsl 18650, and the ones I find when googling are the same except they don't say xsl, they say (can't remember..something else like nl or something) and they are gray instead of blue. From reading the other sites, the gray ones are the protected ones...which would be the ones I want right? But what about the letter differences? Does that matter? Can I get any old battery that is the same size, voltage, ect?? (being an electricians daughter, you'd think I'd be a little more knowledgeable about such things LOL!)
