Hey ECF forum
So I wanted to send a quick hello, I quit smoking in December 2014 and moved back to vapes. I said back to vapes as i had a very old system called Redds god knows how many years ago. It didnt work for 2 reasons quality of hardware and ejuice.

HOWEVER it was an early time for the tech. Much like most things technical it takes time for things to get perfected.
SO i have gone from the nautilus to the Atlantis now a mehpisto RDA ... my next purchase not sure... another RDA , perhaps the horizon arctic

As for electricity, i have an atlantis sub ohm ... i am feeling very let down but it was a fast purchase , and now a smok m50/65w which i am very happy with.

Where would you go next?
I was thinking IPV4 ? i want a VW 2 battery setup which can hit upto 100W minimum

What would you buy?

Oh one other thing on my mind has been why some Juices make me choke... and why others are so smooth ... and it doesnt seem to matter on the pg vg mix like some are 50 50 some are 60 40 etc but to me i take a hit and its ROUGH and just kills me i cough light a virgin lung

Any idea behind that?

Could be the nic base used in the juice

That's a good question I think it might have something to do with the ingredients. Like for instance, I would take a Five Pawns Gambit 3ml, and a Loire Pear also 3ml and the Loire hits much harder for some reason even though both are 50/50 blends. Especially on a new cotton wick. I think it also has to do with the steeping time. But honestly can't tell for sure.

The most obvious is nicotine concentration though.

Thanks for opinions on this. One juice I use is clear no matter if it's 12mg or 0mg and all flavors all the same clear like water. ... Another guy tells me the nic base is brown so the more you have the more brown it gets.

Wish I knew more about all of this stuff gotta be the type of nicotine. I don't know... Gotta ask some diy ers
only really low quality nic base is yellow / brown -- the stuff I get from Nude Nicotine is clear like water all the way to 100mg strength -- the cheaper yellow /brown nics taste like pepper and who knows whats in that stuff :/

Ah now that makes sense dam thank you so much! This is what i was thinking but some people keep their vendors and process and ingredients a secret. So this explains the divide in juice... why some charge $20+ for 30ml and others charge $20 for 60-90 ml

Really great info man thank you

Sure glad to help :) if you decide to get in to diy it really lowers costs -- juice has a huge mark up....

I can make 100ml of juice for about $3-5 in juice and flavor and thats using the highest quality ingredients I could find.

I've gotten some juice in the past that the nicotine is so peppery, it would burn my throat and I couldn't stand it. The problem is the samplers at the vape bar is typically 0 mg nicotine, so you really don't know the quality of the nicotine until you actually buy it. And this juice was clear, so it isn't a general rule that the darker nicotine hits harder.

man i smoked 2 different juices from the same mfr now.. Charlies Standards from MTL . Their neverland which is cola and kiwi is nuts best ever this other thing... north south its like smoking a razor blade... maybe i am just a sensitive guy lol no clue

I need to start my own DIY ... im too cheap for this :p
you should try Nude Nicotine -- they will send you a sample of nic if you cover the shipping costs -- and its clear and smooth -- never had a bad experience with them -- they got some flavor concetrates that are good too -- my personal favorite is BRY4. I order all my liquids (Nic PG VG) through them.

Might want to get or make a magnetic stirrer -- I made one for maybe $10 in parts and its totally worth not having to shake the bottles like crazy anymore ;) I think the most expensive part was the little magnetic stir bar but thats because I ordered from amazon because I wanted it right away -- you can get them way way cheaper if you are willing to wait on shipping from overseas.

are you pretty sure it was the nic and not the flavor?
