This one has been a year in the making. In order to avoid controversy, I've given it a new name but many of you will recognize it when you read the recipe. In the begining, it began as Ecopure "Rich" and morphed to an even richer version by a well known vendor. This is my take on the two.

First, you must mix a batch of ethyl maltol. I mix 30 mls at a time and pour app. 1/3 bottle of crystals and fill with PG. It takes a lot of shaking and soaking in hot water to dissolve all the crystals. I wait until the next day and if there are no crystals settled in the bottom, I put more crystals in and repeat. This recipe is always mixed at 70% VG 30% PG and must be mixed using 100% VG nic. Here's the recipe for a 10 ml bottle of "Luscious."

Luscious 10 ml 18 mg nic

1.8 ml VG 100 mg nicotine
1.2 ml EM (mixed as above instructions. This replaces plain PG)
7 ml VG

Sit back and watch the plumes engulf you!!!

Enjoy!

Im really excited to make this . Thanks for sharing but.... Only thing I'm confused on is you say that the next day you add more crystals .... how much more ? 1/3 again ? Thanks again for sharing this recipe ! :)

Just add a little at a time. I've never done an exact measurement and I apologize for not being able to be exact. And please scan this thread for a modification to the recipe. I had either a blonde or a senior moment when I originally posted the recipe and the recipe above is a tad off on the calculations.

I keep a bottle of this mixed at all times. It's especially good when you're going thru fried taste bud syndrome.

ECOPure Rich has recently discontinued.... this thread is looking very promising.

How similar is this recipe in flavor to ECOPure Rich? Intellicig advertised that ECOPure Rich had a subtle tobacco flavor and this formulation seems to only include EM. Note, it must have been a VERY VERY subtle amount tobacco flavor... I could hardly taste it. Though, ECOPure Rich had a fairly complex taste and I'm not sure how much of that was due to EM or other additives.

Would appreciate someones comment that has tried this recipe and contrast it to ECOPure Rich.

Thanks!

It's almost identical to Rich except it's richer. If you still have one of your EcoPure Rich bottles, it should have a list of ingredients. If I remember correctly, the ingredients are VG, EM, water and maybe some PG. I used that as my guide and mixed it with a certain vendor's version (a flavor that I loved and vaped often) and this is what I came up with.

I'm so glad you're enjoying it Debb! It's one of those flavors you either really like, or don't like at all. It's more of a type of flavor that has no distinct flavor but it's still good. I'm vaping it right now and can hardly see my screen for the clouds. :vapor:

Exactly, you either like it or you don't.....
It's more of a type of flavor that has no distinct flavor-perfect description......:)

edit...this mix tastes amazing in the Octopus....vapor is crazy!:)

I just want to thank Lyndagale and everyone else that has contributed to this. I lost my job and have been looking for alternatives to save some money. Although I first screwed this one up and need some more PG, the right mix is incredible!

I used to be a major ecopure rich fan. Unfortunately this is one moment of living in the USA that screws us (because of the recent buyout). Ecovape Rich is nowhere close to the Ecopure Rich as ecovape is an artificial peanut tobacco taste.

I have bought both the premixed Ethyl Maltol and the crystals. In my opinion mixing from the crystals does taste much better than the premix and a lot cheaper. You can customize your flavoring rather than stuck with the premix flavor.

The Lynda's Lusicous is very thick being mostly VG. I may try some adding some distilled water to thin it out. I read on another forum they mixed VG and water 80/20.

Thanks again Lynda for this recipe and helping us that are looking for that amazing taste!

LOVE! ok, so I admit I havent tried it solo yet. I've been in burnout mode for 2 days now and sat down staring at my kit waiting for inspiration. Had a mind to try mixing some vanilla butternut with my peppermint. Then thought I'd try EM in it first, then remembered this thread.

Too lazy to actually follow the crystal prep, so I mixed 1/3 of 10% EM in PG with 2/3 of my VG base (95% vg, 5% H2O 16 mg) with a drop of sweetener in 5 ml. I figure this is pretty close to the posted recipe, its what in normal terms I would call 30% EM, 70/30 VG/PG.

Did I mention im lazy? And in flavor burnout? Simply dumped out my peppermint tank and refilled with my luscious, no rinse. This is awesome! Luscious, with a hint of peppermint!

I can tell im going to have a lot of fun with this. Plain. As a no rinse flavor changer to give it a hint of whatevs. Probably as a base for "hint of" flavors.

Mixing up 2 x 30 ml glass bottles now via the propper crystal method. First flavor other than unflavored I've thought would stay around long enough to deserve glass. Thanks to the OP and all of ya'll for being here, you cured my doldrums and restored the funday to my sunday!

I made up a batch.I love it.But my question is,Why does the ethyl maltol crystals keep recrystalizing.? I mixed 10 ml of crystals in a 30 ml of pg.Shook and soaked in hot water. It came out perfectly clear. So i made some luscious, that turned out great, but my 30 ml of ethyl maltol recrystalized again a day later.I keep shaking and soaking in hot water,it turns clear again, but same thing happens again.....Is it possible that the pg is over its limit in em percentage? Do i just need to add more pg?

Hi grm,

Without trying to get too scientific, what you are doing with the EM is creating a supersaturated solution in PG. a liquid will hold more dissolved material when warm than cold, ie, making rock candy from dissolved sugar. As it cools some of the dissolved material will fall back out of solution as it can no longer hold it. Which means in our case the PG at room temperature is holding all the EM it can in suspension, the remainder will reform crystals...

Sounds like you did it perfectly...

Oh, don't add more PG that will defeat what you just achieved :)

Sent using Tapatalk and yes I probably should be working at the moment...

Just a note on making the EM concentrate, no need for lots of shaking and water baths. I filled a 30 ml glass bottle not quite half full with EM, topped up with PG, and microwaved for 10 seconds. Took less than 10 seconds of shaking to fully dissolve...

Oh, and im enjoying my luscious today with a hint of tpa mint candy. I just dipped a toothpick in the flavor and swirled it with the luacious right in the clearo. 2 toothpicks full is a nice level for this combo.

I always have a few crystals in the bottom too. No worries, just use them when you mix your next batch. :vapor: I'm so glad you all are enjoying it! It's been one of my favorites for a long time.

Oh and I agree on the 10 second micro heat. Makes it super fast! Just make sure to use a paper towel or something to protect your hand from the hot glass.

Could I use Dulche de leche as a sweetener? Oh and thanks, I hope it works because my taste buds have well and truly left me :D

Regards

You can mix any flavor you want with this because it's so neutral and versatile but you really owe it to yourself to try it at least once as is. Unless you're one who must have a "slap you in the face" type flavor, you'll probably like it. :)

This may seem like a silly question, but does the vape have a distinct odor?

I make one recipe that is 8% EM (10% solution) and 2% peppermint oil. The vape is cool and sweet and the odor that lingers kinda smells like a very faint burnt sugar smell. I don't mind the odor, its quite pleasant. Just curious if that much EM in a mix has more of that distinct smell.
