1. +- 3ml for the 1" tank

2. The threads on the screw are solid but softer material than the tank so I'm guessin' they would go first. There is a rebuild kit, though, if you ever need it, on the site.

3. The 1.5" tank uses the XL cartos, resurrectors, Megas, etc.

4. Even without the screw tightened all the way down, the tank doesn't move at all. If you tighten it all the way down it does push the carto against the end cap, but I haven't had any leakage because of that. O-rings are nice and tight on Boge's and IKV Fusions. I've been using the screw hole as a fill port using a syringe, IMO it's much easier than pulling up the tank to fill.

Ok, so the resurrectors, most boge's, etc would fit in the 1" version then - but not in the 1.5"?
And on the other side, a DCC would fit the 1.5" version, but not the 1"?

Sorry for so many questions, their website could be a LOT more descriptive. I have a bunch of resurrectors but plan on switching back to boges so I'm trying to figure out what'll fit.

1.5" tank just needs a longer carto to fit it, an XL or mega length carto, since a standard length carto is too short. You need the carto body to reach above the top edge of the tank, at least a little, for things to seal properly.

Afraid I'm dumb as a sack of rocks on DCC, never used them. I tend to stick with the 1" tank and single coil cartos, for no reason other than that they work consistently well for me.

Should work normally, at least for single coil cartos. The hole(s) tend to be punched or slotted low, near the base of the carto, at least that's what I do (hole is just above the bottom cap of the carto). The hole keeps the bottom of the carto nice and soaked, a constant supply of eliquid, even if the top part of the carto looks pretty dry.

With a standard length carto I just put the carto in, fill the tank, and start using it. With the longer cartos and bigger tank I believe that priming the carto may be more important, giving it an initial dose of eliquid (from the mouth end of the carto), letting it soak in for a bit, before using it.

If you have a dremel tool, slotting a carto is really fast and painless. Bare stainless steel cartos are much simpler to use, gets rid of having to strip any paint or plastic wrapper and adhesive.

Ok, all making sense now. Thanks for the clarification! I'm sure once I have the thing in my hands it'll all be pretty obvious.. but that tends to be the case with a lot of ecig hardware. All the cartos I currently have, or have ordered are SS so it shouldn't be a problem. I don't wanna peel labels haha.

I do have a dremel - I've also always wondered if a dremel is safe to use for slotting a carto? Not sure how I feel about metal shavings in the carto, but at the same time it's not like you're likely to inhale them I'm guessing.

I was contemplating going to Home Depot and getting a small saddle valve to punch them with.. but I haven't really gotten that far yet!

The dremel is really easy to use, with the thin tube-cutting head (looks like a little wheel of sandpaper). Pair of vice grips resting on a work surface, ok to put a paper towel under them. They should be just tight enough so that you can press the mouth end of the carto, with condom over it, into the vice. Wear safety glasses, though I've never had anything come near my face. Turn the dremel on high, just cut a thin horizontal slot about 1/3" - 1/2" up from the bottom of the carto. No pressure needed, the dremel weight will do it. Check after about 15 seconds.

It's okay to cut a little way into the filler, you just don't want to cut all the way to the center.

If there's a little flap of metal, just pry it up with a small tack.

I've never seen any filings, the dremel tends to pretty cleanly slice, kicking particles out to the sides and up, in a tiny shower of sparks.

I've also tried a punch and a saddle valve -- the dremel is much simpler, consistent, for me.

Practice on used cartos, so you can check your height of cut against the tank.

I end up with about a 1/3" wide, 1/16" - 1/8" high, slot.

Good luck! Once you get a nice carto going in a good tank, vaping becomes just that much more pleasant :)

So I just received my Buzz Pro and M1A1 tank (yay!). I ordered 2 Madvapes 3 ohm tank cartos (they were out of 2.5's).

These:

Tank Replacement Dual Coil Cartomizers, 3.0 ohms

This carto has a REALLY small hole in it. My question is, before I load one in the tank, is will the hole be big enough? I'll be using a medium thick, light colored juice (Triple Rainbow from Vaporcast) in it. If I had to rate the thickness, I'd rate it about 6.5, where 10 is Aunt Jemimah in January.

If the juice is as thick as whole milk, I take a small steel punch and use a hammer to give it a whack ... that enlarges the hole a bit and makes the draw somewhat easier for me.
