So i ordered a provari mini (still waiting on it to come in) and i saw these tanks. This would be my first tank and they look pretty cool with anodized alluminum and the price is decent also, but i really dont like that screw in the side of the tank. I also heard that because of this screw hole in the side of the tank it causes hairline crack to form around the hole. Well my question is there a way to get the tank without the screw in it or should i just go with a different brand? And if i can get it with no screw, is it tight enough to where the tank wont slip at all without the screw?

Thanks,
Who-Dat'

You can get the M1A1 from notcigs.com without the screw hole; just put in remarks "no screw hole". I just got two myself.

all my tanks have screw holes. If they don't come that way, I put them there. I've never had a tank crack around the hole nor have I ever heard of anyone else's cracking from this either. Now I've heard a lot of people talk about tanks cracking from the ingredients in their juice but not the fill hole. My screws don't hold my carto in place, the fill hole makes it super easy to fill the carto and provides a way to vent the tank when the carto isn't wicking well my itself. Some don't like the looks of it, some do. If you don't want your tanks to crack, then make sure you are getting the polypropylene tanks and not the polycarbonate tanks. I don't think glass tanks or pyrex tanks have cracking problems either. Here are some polypropylene tanks.

Thanks for the info guys.....I have a bunch of boge cartos that I want to use so I was looking for a tank that will fit them and those DC Tanks wont allow me to use the short boges from what i understand. I may just suck it up, spend the money, and get the one i want either the lil' mama tank(if they would ever have them in stock...lol) or the cartomator.

Thanks again,

I got a M1A1 with both size tanks. Compared to other tanks it's kind of strange because both caps are so easy to remove & insert....but they sit so tight on the carto & never slip. Big plus in my book. I've bent my thumb nails back so many times trying to remove a few other tank caps. I can take my provari w/extended cap & 18650 & shake the hell out of it & it stays put. I have no worry's about keeping it in my pocket & do it at work all the time. Also you don't have to worry about the tank cracking or splintered on it. It has a lifetime guarantee.

Also, they now make a single coil boge that fits the DC tanks & I use them in my DC tanks. Just find the one's that have a tube length of 45mm, over all 50mm.

As far as the screw, don't worry about it because it actually has a few benefits. I used to use a syringe to fill, which I HATE, & the filler hole made it so much easier to fill. I ended up getting one of those plastic drip tip filler things from clouds of vapor ($4) & now happilly retired the syringe, except to remove juice to clean & change juice. Anyway..I've found when I'm drinkin'..I mean chain vapin, that if the carto starts getting a little dry, I can remove the screw & immediately reinsert & it seems to funnel better. You can't do that with another tank.

Donna's found some really nice screws & given good descriptions if you decide you don't like the plastic they come with it. They really are pretty sharp imo.

One more thing & I'll end my ramble...when I take the M1A1 tank & rinse under hot water, the smell of the previous juice disappears faster then other tanks. Which tells me it's less porous.

Thanks for the response Wyatt. I may give the tank with the screw a try.....I just felt like it would get in the way in my pocket and i didnt really like the way it looks but i can get over that if it makes refill that much easier.

Hoarder, i checked BDV for the Lil' Mama tank but it is still showing "sold out" unless I am missing something?

Thanks again guys,
