AEC comes through for me again! They are going to replace my ENTIRE liquid order, free of charge! Originally I was expecting them to replace what was lost during shipment (about 50mls) which would have been totally fine, but to get 100 mls replaced...wow, just wow. I would have to say this is above and beyond my expectations.

Very nice! Good to know they are responsive. Next month I will be making my first order through AEC for hardware as I need the realistic looking (white batteries) starter kit and some spare parts for my friend's b-day care package. I am not sure why Ruyan does not carry these.

I also wrote Ruyan about possibly selling usb passthroughs for the m401/2 and got this response:
---------
Hi,

So far the factory haven't produced the USB passthroughs for M series products yet. We will talk to the Smoore factory the end of this month to see if there is any possibility they can make such products for us. Or else we can only have other factories make such products for us.

Thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Heaven Gifts

Makes sense since the passthrough was made for a DSE401 and though compatable are not manufactured by the same people. I do love the thought of Smoore making one themselves and hope something comes of it:)

Ditto... but until then, I think I'll order one of these:

Anyone order from trueman-ecig yet?

something i just noticed with my 401.

Was that i was smoking it, and all the while, my atomizer wasn't even touching the juice wick. I would always drip the atty wick before putting in a new cart, and wonder why my cart always seemed to stay so wet looking after smoking for a session...

apparently i was only smoking what was on the atomizer itself b/c i just had an idea to push a needle up the hole on the cart, and sure enough, it moved up about 1/8th inch. After filling the cart, i was pushing it all the way to the bottom with the paperclip... big no no, at least on my 401.

It wasn't even touching the cart most of the time!!.. Now after a refill, i push it down with the atomizer itself so as to ensure a connection. I hope that the physical pushing isn't bad for it,,, maybe after a cart install, i'll just push it up for a contact through the cart hole instead. but it's obvious it wasn't making contact.

Yep, doing the same thing here, since nearly the first refill. Just looking at the fit of the cart, seems it's likely to have a bit of 'slop' that would result in poor or low cart wick to atomizer wick contact, so I refill, put the cap on, then when I go to use a new cart, I just push the inner cart up slightly with a pin or paperclip, then slip onto the atomizer, and let the atty put the cart where it 'needs' it, in direct contact...

Is the 401 the same cig as the Blu?

I have read the Blu thread and looked at the website. And no.. It's not the same. But I do believe the Blu has an exposed atomizer like the 401/2. The batteries of the Blu are extremely short lived, but with it's on the go charger box that's not a problem. But definately is not compatible with the m401/2.

Just a heads up if you order from there. They sent me a tracking number after it was shipped with only 10 characters. The option was EMS then to USPS.. my tracking/shipping number was only 10 characters. EMS must have 13 characters. I could not track! I emailed trueman-ecig and turns out since all i had were 4 m401 passthroughs and no juice... etc.. they sent it via a service called DHL. Never heard of it. So I googled DHL tracking and found it.

So if you get a 10 character tracking number try going here: DHL: Track (By number)

I am wondering if this mode of shipment is cheaper than EMS and if so, should i have been charged the same.

Has anyone ever heard of DHL before??

It's probably for the best that there's no juice in that shipment, as DHL and UPS have been turning over shipments to customs, then from there to the FDA/Return to sender/Destroy pile, at least from what I've been reading. Right now the only way i trust juice/starter kits to arrive is through EMS, like Fedor had said before.

Side note: DHL is/was a major shipping company, especially with Asia and (i believe Europe) they've been getting hit pretty hard with the economic downturn, and have since limited service to just Asia (and Europe?). For US shipments, they do have delivery to the US, but instead of a local DHL delivery (and all that entails ie sorting, handling, delivery) they hand over packages to USPS, Fedex, and UPS to deliver.

Well I admit I am a little ...... off they chose to send a shipment I paid their overly high EMS price for with some other place i never heard of.... and did not bother to tell me about it. The shipping email said it would be sent out EMS (this being a canned message) with the tracking #. When i emailed them and inquired why there were only 10 characters and how was i to track it... I got back:
    Sorry for the tracking information.
I checked again with your tracking NO.,found our customer service colleague sent it by DHL because your order just have passthrough,it's easy to ship without battery and liquid. the DHL tracking NO. is 3423574081.now they are ready to go from hongkong.

Sorry for inconvenience.hope you understand our mistake information.

If they decided to save a few bucks because all i had were 4 m401 passthroughs... and for some reason they do get seized.. I will kick some serious ...! I paid $25 for their overly priced EMS shipping and was told it would be EMS. I want the security. I don't think they had the right to make this choice. I will NOT be ordering from them again. I really wanted the passthroughs.

So far i have been very happy with all service from the suppliers i have gone through. I don't get ...... about this sort of thing easily.. I may even overcompliment at times. BUT when i pay for something I expect to get what I paid for. And i paid the Highest EMS I have seen so far because I really felt the price of the passthroughs were worth it. But if i am not getting them by EMS, I should not be charged so much for less security. AND I should have been notified about it.

    /end rant

prr2freya I think DHL is far better option that EMS. They are a really big company with excellent service. You do not have to worry about your cargo. Just one example: If you have a problem with your cargo with EMS, you will have to ask your provider to make a complain from origin since EMS is a network of postal services an not just 1 company. DHL on the other hand is just 1 company so you will be able to track your cargo from end to end without a problem and also if you have a problem with your cargo, you can manage the complain directly with them.

Now, at list in my case, the cost to get a package from China to Colombia by EMS and DHL is the same. Other options like UPS, TNT or FEDEX are twice the cost.

I would love to be able to use DHL to have my e-cig cargo from China to Colombia, but since Honk Kong baned e-cig, DHL do not carry e-cig anymore.

Believe me, DHL is a great currier company. Second to none.

Believe me, DHL is a great currier company. Second to none.

I hope so! I'll update if/when I get the passthroughs. I really need them. I have a total of 3 batteries and the first two are starting to wind down. (I am expecting 2 more from Ruyan this afternoon, but I don't make a ton of money so my ordering has to settle down now.) I knew startup costs would not be cheap... but now I have almost 400ml of juice, 6 atomizers; two in rotation, 4 as backups... VG and some PG is on the way, 10 lorran flavorings for mixing and cutting the 36mg liquid so it lasts. Ruyan today I will get two more batts and two chargers ...etc.. Waiting for AEC to ship the white and tan startup kit plus extra atomizer for a friend's b-day present... and these 4 passthroughs coming from Treuman. I am dirt broke now... I am self employed and self sufficiant, but only get by because i try to keep a budget. I work from my home office so am near the computer constantly so the passthroughs will be a lot of help extending the batteries.

Don't get me wrong, the investment I have made on the m401 has been worth it! I have already begun to feel the effects of getting off cigs. I sent my mother my last two cartons of cigs last week because I am dedicated to this. I believe I made a good sound choice on the m401.. It really is my dream e-cig. I thank source I have found something that works! But I am dirt broke now and if I lose those passthroughs I will just cry. Once I have those, I should be set for quite some time (no dead atomizers as of yet).. I would LOVE to be able to have 20 backups of batts and atomizers and try diff e-cigs and all that jazz... but I can't.. sooo.. I got a little freaked about possibly losing $80 in hardware when I have opted to eat doller store food for a month because this means so much to me and my health.

My Zen died from a failed lung transplant... it will be a year on June 25th that I was holding his hand when his life slipped away after his body had slowly and painfully failed him one organ at a time. I want him to be proud of me... I want to let my lungs heal for him.... but at the same time. I need to pay my bills and not lose money.

Ok.. too much information8-o All I know is that if my unit fails me... I am still not strong enough to stay away from ciggies... not yet. So I panic a little:rolleyes: The passthroughs will make me feel more secure.

I'll put faith in this... and I hope you are right:) So... this is me... about to... stop worrying about it... for now! lol

prr2freya EMS has messed up with my cargo.

I have an order in EMS, 200 sets (M402/M201), 200 attys, 6000 pre-filled carts and 100 batteries. My cargo where sent the 5 of this month and it was going to be delivered on the 11th here. I have been trying to track it down for more than a week now, and EMS China can not tell me where it is!

I have been working with DHL for more that 15 years with different business and never have a single problem.

My last atty died yesterday :(

Wow! That is a lot! I hope you don't lose it. I think you said something in another thread about being a local supplier.

You mean you have nothing even for yourself right now? You can't vape at all? Jeez.. I wish I could lend you one of my few spares:( The thought of going back to analogs scares the p#ss out of me. Probably irrational, but now that I have finally found a way to give them up... I don't want to fail.

Thank you for the offer! Yes, I am a local supplier and I was waiting for this cargo before I run out of inventory, but sh...s happen and now I am out of inventory and do not have even an atty for me!

Actually, it was not my last atty that died. It was my wife atty,, but I have to give mine to her.... love love.....

She does not believe in my way to clean the attys. But now, I think she does. Any way... she took my atty to her work, so I do not have atty for me. I think I will heat a spoon!

Oh dear! Now THAT is love. If you have to resort to heating up a spoon... make sure you have a straw handy to suck the vapors in!

Oh man.. we sound like crack fiends!

I really don't understand why you guys like this ecig so much. Yes it looks very nice. I like the look better then any others i have. But it just doesnt hit well. I have to hit hard at first to get the light to come on. Then the light always goes off before i even want to stop hitting it. I don't think its cutting itself off i think the battery just stops. I also get a really weak hit. I get vapor but i don;t feel any strength in my lungs or throat. The hits feel very airy.

This is the second 401 i have tried from 2 different suppliers. Both of them have had the same issues. I do think the parts last longer then the 901, but the hit is inferior to both the 901 and 801 that i have.

Myshkin: Please try to top up your cartridge. My M401 will light up and go off shortly and sometimes it will just delay lighting up if the cart is too dry. I think this is the smart battery people are talking about. I believe this is to protect the atomiser.

For e-cig orders, please refrain from using UPS/ DHL/ Fedex etc international couriers. These couriers has announced that they will not ship anything e-cig from China. Some suppliers may still decide to try their luck and they get pass sometimes. This is not recommended at all. Suppliers in China wish to use DHL/UPS etc because they are cheaper than EMS, especially by bulk. While they are faster, EMS will get to you safer.

If there are no cartridges/ liquid, chances are they will get through but i would not wanna take the chance.

myshkin, as much as i love my matte black w/ blue LED Ruyan 401's, i really do have to agree with you. I have made sure i'm topped, charged batteries completely per instructions, made sure the cart wick is seated on the atomizer (there is a bit of play, when you top off and reassemble everything, make sure you poke up through the hole of the cart to seat the wick better)... but still, it's not a hit monster.

I really like too many things about it, excellent cart and battery life, nice flavors to all of my juice, very classy, incredibly efficient and well made. But, my super minis KILL IT as far as vapor and throat hit. My wife and i had a smokeoff last night, her with an NPRO and me with my 401, and i had to put my tail b/t my legs so to speak (and she's just got her technique down in the past few days)..

SO, i tried my npro which was on my nightstand, and, it was a whole other animal again, just mopped the floor with the 401 as far as vapor/throat hit.

I still find myself taking my 401 everywhere and using the npros for backup, so that does say something...
