That's odd... all I had entered previously was name and address...

Sometimes thats all it takes. If you messed on your address it could kick back. It has to match what's on file. Some thing as simple as First St. And 1st St. Could make all the difference. Also if you moved recently it could cause a problem. All they're doing is trying to verify that you are who you say you are.

Seems like that was in the news a while back or maybe there was a case in some court where the government wanted to regulate that (crap I can't remember enough to even mention it really) in some way.

I don't personally have a problem with profiteering.....if someone is willing to pay way above retail, then more power to them.....I however don't choose to pay overly high prices for stuff (likely cause I can't afford to do so). I'm a poor fecker really but would love to be rich, even though I am not rich, I don't begrudge those that are and can do what they want, when they want, regardless of price. All you see now days is how the rich are bad, all of that crap is just political BS from people who are just hedging their positions to stay in political power by being hypocrites because they say that to the public then go around asking those same rich to fund their cause. Anyway.....not something that should be discussed on the ECF.

Back to the basics.....so what is everybody vaping.

Well, that's all fine and well. The issue is far too vast to be discussed here, but consider this: the phenomenon of speculation is far wider and far reaching than the individual choices on an individual transaction. It is embedded in the very fabric of our civilization. In fact, everything we see around us, good and bad, is a result of transactions made with the explicit and legal intention of cheating.

That said, it while it is 'normal' and 'fundamental' to our 'way of life', I see it as mental lassitude to simply accept it as such and justify it simply by it being the current status quo. One can dream of a better way. And one can observe that human beings, more often than not, display a natural tendency to cooperate and help and share; at the same time, when exposed to the manner in which we conduct our business today, as a civilization, human beings, to various degrees, end up becoming more selfish, greedy and unhappy than their natural tendencies. Right. There are works in progress, but nothing ready for prime time, I would say. In today's world, though, it's more important and more difficult to try and keep your mind free...

I may be dumb, but I rather believe in stepwise, insidious, guerilla change, rather than in big, bangy revolutions.
