Hmmmmmmm Carbonated e-liquid could be interesting

Here is another piece of equipment you DIYers may want to check out:
Sodastream | Turn Water Into Fresh Sparkling Water And Soda

Buyer Beware ..... Remember this is an INFOMERCIAL if they can afford to advertise 24/7 they are probably sticking it too you :danger:

Review found online.....comments may or may not reflect the poster's opinion :D

The machines are cheap plastic and the drinks go flat after 10 minutes. My order arrived late and was the wrong (cheaper) model. They were late shipping the replacement. I gave up and returned everything in perfect condition at my expense and they made me empty all the CO2 canisters. They keep making excused and will not return my money. I have had to file a dispute with credit card company to get my money. This company is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!

You can always count on an infomercial companies great Customer Service.

But if you're into alternative sources for flavoring someone on the review site mentioned Home Page

Not a clue what these are made of or whether they'd work in our madscientist workshop.

On a thread here about ebeer I told about an old tome vape guy I know who puts a drop or two of good Kentucky Bourbon in his cart. I have treid that and it works fine if... you like Bourbon. I do!

My suggestion was to try the flavored Rums. It came up to be careful about things w/ sugar, like flavored Rums, as they will clog up your atty. Shoot. :~(

**DUCKS upon logging in**

Think I was off my meds when I posted that. Or maybe it was the fumes from my mad scientist workshop in the kitchen.

Honestly the idea tickled my fancy when mentioned so I decided to check it out and see if it might work for me. But being a bit jaded after a month of dodging gimicy ecig sites the sodastream seemed in the same category. Bit too flashy, bit too much hype, and genuine performance concerns in some reviews. In PV terms its the difference between a site that only sells their branded goodie, but it's the best ecig out there and one that sells even a limited selection but tells you what it really is with detailed specs.

These guys sell the more traditional (sturdier??) types although I'm in no mood to do the math to see which one comes out cheaper in the end at the moment. I'm still trying to figure out exactly which cartomizer I should buy and what flavor I'm gonna try next.

Prairie Moon Beverage Syrup
Creamright Whip Cream and Seltzer

I will certainly eat my crow for lumping them in with the buy one get one pay separate shipping guys. And a two year warranty aint too bad. Again I'm just a little jaded these days.

For my personal use, I'd have to lean toward the seltzer bottle that you can charge and put in the fridge. In no mood to do the math for shipping/replacement cartridges/etc, but the mad scientist in me understands the following concept

The "fizz" (CO2) is absorbed by time and temperature of the water. When you charge your bottle you are "forcing" the CO2 into the water. So, fill with cold water, charge, and let it sit in the fridge. Mr. Fizz enjoys very fizzy water every night…He fills the bottle the night before, charges and chills…ready for the next day. The fizz action will take place quickly if the water is very very cold, like 34°F. Tap water is not usually colder than 50°F, and it would take several hours in the fridge to get it to the required 34°-38°F.

This simple trick may be the reason for many of the poor reviews I saw.

My problem was I got a little excited and then their site set of my spidey sense.

Again as with almost everything discussed here, YMMV. And my toy aint any better than your toy they both make us happy happy happy :D

Kohl's has them here locally so I may take a look. But before I'd buy one, I'd visit the kitchen supply store and look at the more commercial type seltzer bottles. Then would come down to which one I'd actually use.

----edit----
To shanagan, apologies for highjacking the thread. But you are dealing with a passionate lot, if we are disturbing your experiment we'll try to keep it down.

Joe, look into Whaler's rum - they're zero carb, which means zero sugar - the vanilla is awesome. They also have coconut and pineapple.

I just realized why this whole thing is so appealing to me. I've always had a bit of the mad scientist to my personality - starting with mixing horrific combinations of stuff found in my mom's kitchen (coffee ground pancakes, anyone?) and making younger kids in the neighborhood eat/drink them.

Then, I was a bartender 'nuff said.

NOW, gadget-y inhaler-y thing to which I can add my own flavors?

Awwwwesome.

wow I think that's a great way to look at it and come to think of it your right. Even though I am terrible at mixing (seriously, I usually just pitch it down the drain ) I like the experimenting part of it. Hopefully I will find out the secret before I give up.
