Got a chance to try out Madvapes' disposable 401.
Just got it with my order of LDO's, 9v battery box, 2C box, etc. Hoog continues to be a really smart vendor, and there's a good reason why I've spent more on his site than anywhere else. Excellent prices, responsive to customers, has a good step by step section, and lotsa mod parts to keep one happy for a long time. And he keeps updating his mod section, bringing in more and more interesting stuff to fool around with. Hey, I like STUFF.
Since I just received the 401 this isn't a detailed review, just impressions. It's not up for sale on his site yet but will be soon, I'm sure.
I started out vaping with the M401 Dragon about half a year ago and have the set, including both manual and auto batteries and charger, plus USB PT and of course extra Smoore attys plus non-Smoore attys. Personally, I find that nothing beats 401's and penstyles when it comes to tastiness. Carlos JuiceBox is about the only pv that even approaches 401 and penstyle in taste.
Madvapes disposable 401 package includes a white auto battery, a blister pack of 4 prefilled carts of various strengths, an atty and an empty mouthpiece. The carts and mouthpiece are tan colored. The inner cartridge seems to be of the XL variety, slightly longer than the official black Smoore cartridge. The atty is not Smoore with its rounded bridge but is from another manufacturer and has a pointy bridge.
The pointy bridge 401 atty is just fine btw. I've been using that type for about 2 months on my Nicoboxes @3.7, 5v and 6v and the pointy bridge atty holds up fine at higher voltages. Haven't killed it @6v, though 3.7V and 5v seems a better fit for the 401. At HV, I tailpipe it (drip into hollowed out mouthpiece).
The disposable battery fits the M401 charger, and as usual the LED on the battery blinks before starting to charge. Mine read 4.1V before charging which is quite good, since we have no idea how long ago it was charged at the factory.
Just like the 510 disposable that Madvapes sells, these 401 disposables are perfect for those who want to give the 401 a try without investing good money, or to pass out as gifts. And again, as with the 510 disposable when this 401 battery dies you'll have a battery connector for your next mod. And the 401 atty actually works as a 510 battery connector too, though you might have to fiddle a bit for airflow (or not, not sure, haven't tried it yet and I'm not a 510 fan).
Best of luck with the 401 disposables, Hoog. Though I'm sure it won't be a super seller like the 510, it's a great addition to your lineup. I'll be placing an order when it's onsite.
