Hey guys.

This post is really a partial gloat-fest. I've finally made the sort of rda build I've had in my head, dreaming of etc. It's a quad coil on the Igo W6 with 2 verticals, 2 horizontals using a single cotton wick wrapped in a particular way - feeding the upper horizontals and then leading into the lower verticals. Sitting at 0.31 ohms. I've been using it for 2 days now. Which is something, I've gone mad and constantly wrap new coils, so to even last a day is something.

Now, I'm a full on noob, as you can see, but as far as I am concerned, this is the best I've yet done. Critiques are welcome, as are tips.

Dry fire and compress those bad boys with tweezers. The lack of uniformity in wraps leads me to believe there could be a Hotspot or one heats up faster. I find it easiest if I torch the wire with a lighter, wrap, than dry fire and further compress. But good job as a self proclaimed noob. I've been at it for a few months now and I totally relate to going mad. I absolutely hate building, hot spots etc but I love the drip life... My girl sometimes gets mad when I'm fighting an Rda or particular build for an hour..

Totally hear you on the girl getting mad. I just use the excuse that it's better to spend an hour building a coil than me smoking. Don't know how long that'll work though :)

I know what you mean by hot spots and so forth. I've found when I dry burn, I just can't compress any further, frustrating. But some minor adjustments get them burning even. So I dunno.

Haha, right? I explain it similarly. She uses an SID and a nautilus. I constantly have to explain how simple it is for her to vape, provided her battery is charged and coil in good shape. I, on the other hand, constantly have to tweak, rewick, build, etc! Oh the life of dripping. What g wire do you use and how do you wrap? Since dropping to 26g I notice a lot more Hotspots than at 30, usually always in the legs.

I love my W6! I've neglected it lately since my 454 arrived though. Actually, I've neglected it since I got the TOBH big atty. I get better clouds from the TOBH than the W6 with fewer coils. The 454 gives me what I was looking for in quad builds though. . Good flavor, clouds of vapor, plenty warmth. . Very well rounded vape.
