It isn't bad, certainly not "crab face" inducing... but the flavor seems a bit weak. I used the e-juice calculator and this is what I mixed up:
48mg pg nic - 50 drops
pg - 15
vg - 45
H2O - 15
peanut butter - 10
toffee - 10
sweet cream - 10
dbl chocolate - 40

In the calculator, I put 5% for the pb, toffee and cream and 20% for the chocolate. Why the water? IDK,, I read somewhere that it helps carry the flavors. This is supposed to be a 70pg/30vg mix. This seemed like a lot of flavoring for 10ml, but it doesn't really pop like I'd like it to.

I've read that you should start with 10% flavoring and work from there.. I'm afraid that isn't going to be strong enough for me. Is it possible to over-flavor something?? Maybe a little sweetener would help? I can see that this is certainly going to have a big learning curve! What do you guys think?

the water shouldn't be needed with that low of vg. water is used to lower the viscosity of the thicker vg. I don't use the dropper method, I use the syringe method and start with 10 percent flavor. some ive had to lower to 5percent. it you use too much flavor it will make it as if you don't have enough. 10ml is a good size to start with, and yes its a learning curve. making a smaller amt would make it more difficult. just play around with it and it will come to you, just write down what ur doing so when u find a recipe you like you can recreate it. :)

Thanks ingerri... ok, I'll skip the water. I do have syringes, but I started out this morning just doing 3mls, thinking I'd have less waste. That's the only reason I did the drop thing. And I did write down exactly what I did.. I just know I'll hit upon something good eventually and if I don't have it written down I'll never remember it!! So, if I'm using four different flavors, do I want to end up with, say, 20% flavor? Say,,, 10% chocolate and 3% of the other three (I know, it's 19% but close enough!) Or maybe shooting for 20% flavor is too much? I'll play around with 10ml experiments.. if I mess it up, I'm sure I can doctor it somehow to make it vapable.. if not, it'll go down the drain:unsure:

OK... I did read that blog, but apparently it didn't sink in the first time! I think I overdid the flavorings. I'll give it another try at 10% total flavoring and work from there. As for my first little bit of juice, I think I'll add a little more pg and let it sit for a few days and see what happens with it. Steeping.... dang, I HATE steeping!!! I have no patience!!! OHHHH ... the mailman just came.. might have some vapemail!

Check out those 8 levels and compare what you have to them. I don't know if you are at a low level or high level with it being light on taste, but there should be enough clues in the blog to let you know with your nose.

Before you can get an exact idea of what your first recipe is, quantity wise, you will have to calibrate your drops, but just starting into mixing and the strength of the nic you're using, I don't have any issues with using drops. I did it that way to start with flavoring. Never dripped nic, PG, or VG, but I did start out with less than accurate measuring equipment so it's like the same thing.

ETA: Looks like you read and type quicker than I just type.

Darn, no vapemail. How disappointing. Anyway.. my mix smells delicious. Going by your chart, I think I've got too much flavoring in there. It's weird to think that too much flavoring will end up tasting like not enough. You know, if one drop is good, 10 must be better! It's hard not to do that. I added a bit more pg to the bottle I made this morning, left the top off and will let it sit a few days and see what happens with it. In the meantime, I'll mix up another 10ml at a total of 10% flavor (mixing all four) and see how that works. Thanks to everyone!

Well, darn, I thought you were the guy in the avatar. Now I have to think you're the pretty female and feel an unnatural compulsion to suck in my gut...

Actually I usually default to masculine pronouns unless I'm trying to be careful. (I'm sure it's an Ego or ID thing.) You caught me in a moment of carelessness.
That poor guy in the avatar is my unsuspecting husband who has no idea his picture is on here. I probly should change it. But thanks for the compliment
