MadVapes Sit&Go USB Passthrough Returns

I have heard nothing but praise for madvapes and their superior customer service, so I ordered a Sit&Go USB Passthrough from them. I added Priority Shipping so I would get it fast. Four days later, I received a DOA unit.... They have a "ticket system" for returns, so I filled out a return ticket and generated an RMA number. The instructions stated that someone would respond to the ticket shortly. It has been four days now, and still no response.

Does anybody have experience with this sort of thing? Should I return the item first, or should I wait for a response to my return ticket post? I added this question to that post, but still no response. I REALLY want the passthrough, and am willing to pay expedited shipping (again).

I have used madvapes but have never returned anything so I dont know how their ticket system works. You are too new to post in their forum yet or PM Hoogie to ask if you got lost in the works. Keep replying in this thread to get your post count up so you can do that :)

Oh (another question you can answer seperately lol) - was this your first order from them? I get my 5v PT from them, not had a sit n go though.

Are you sure it is DOA? Have you tested in on a meter? What are you plugging into? These things can be tricky at times. It could be something as simple as your atty is not connecting well. Sometimes gently pulling up on the center post of the atty will get it to connect solidly. Be careful though, don't pull the center post out! Could also be whatever you are plugging into isn't rated high enough in the output. Many car cig lighter usb ports are only 500mAh output which is only strong enough to run a 510 that has the battery on the passthru, all others it simply will not work. There are a lot of possibilities! Good luck!

Yes, the unit is definitely DOA. The problem is that it won't hold a charge. Even after it is plugged in for several hours, I can take one drag, then the battery light flashes off and on...
 
Emsmom makes a good point - my 5v PT really runs off the 2 amp AC to USB Adapter, ideal for Passthroughs but not at all well off my PC port.

Unfortunately, I have already tried a similar adapter, but not luck...

I know that this is unrelated, but where is the setting to add a signature line to my posts. I have not been able to find it anywhere in the User CP?

As a side note - when I tried to publish this post, I got a warning that until I post 15 times, I can not include links, so I had to remove the one from your original post...

Yeah another thing to stop suppliers (unregistered) and spammers from filling this forum with stuff you dont need (free trials? no thanks!)
Just keep replying or jump in another newbie thread and welcome them and your count will soar.
Sigs you can get after a certain of posts also - to get a banner click someone else's banner to go to the site they use to get it :)

Thank you for the info. I was not aware they had been closed. They have such a great reputation that my expectations may have overshot my common sense...

Er.. oh yeah what unit do you use or at least the one you wanted the sit n go to replace? :)
Don't laugh - believe it or not, I have a Blu (and am actually happy with it) I have perfected the art of getting good vapor, good TH, etc. with it, so I have few complaints. I am definitely wanting to up my game to something bigger and better, but have limited funds. One step at a time I guess...:)

I just received an update to my ticket from Mark. He said he had indeed been out of the office and that a replacement was on the way. You called it!
