esmoke apparently tests everything after it comes in and before it goes out. They say they have a room there with at least 50 chargers and batteries running all the time. All the 51 stuff they sell passes or they send it back. Any other stuff as well.

Figuring a couple days to let the heat die down is enough to start advertising again huh? You know, it sucks that eBay ended your auctions, particularly just because somebody reported them. Obviously this has left you with a lot of stock to get rid of... unfortunately, you've chosen a very bad way to do it...

I REALLY LOL'd at that! I see they didn't hesitate to smack him with the ban hammer either ROFL!

Well, my Magnum from epuffer just went in the mail back to them today. One battery was DOA, the other lasted less than a week. So far I have 'lost' about $70.00 in shipping/postage. I paid for shipping to buy two kits, and had to pay postage to send them both back... and not a damn thing to show for it but experience.
I like the two piece concept, so I ordered a package from e-cig. What the heck, give it a try... Ordered on Friday at 11AM. On Sunday at 7PM I got an e-mail notifying shipping, and giving me a tracking number. Went out on the 8Th and was at Pudong airport that day... got into Toronto today at 1PM, and as of 6PM it had left Toronto on the way here.
Don't know about you guys but that seems pretty darn good to me.
My experience with e-puffer, despite what it says on their site, do not ship until almost a week after the order is placed and paid for.
Just a quick update as I continue to be surprised.
This morning I get a call from a courier company.. they have my e-cig order here in town!! Becasue I thought it was coming by mail I had it addressed to a PO box.. so I gave him a street address and the package was here about 1pm. No muss, no fuss, no extra charges!! (Canadians will understand). So I am just blown away but the service, BUT now the important part, I get to see how it works. I know in the review there was a question about battery quality. The ones I got do not rattle, but only time will tell how well the product works.
On the other front... got an e-mail from epuffer today. They said that a refund would be issued 24 hours after my package arrived with them. Never mind that I already gave them the tracking number, and of course there was no mention of the FOUR postage charges that I am out of pocket for.

I just sent in my second RMA ticket to ePuffer, within it I quote the original RMA request from 4 days ago that I never heard back on **** WARNING: LANGUAGE ****:

OK, now you people are really starting to get on my last nerve. First, I had NOTHING but problems with this product AND your customer service right from the beginning. I sent in an RMA request on the 6TH and was told I would get a response within 12 - 24 hours.... it's now FOUR DAYS LATER and I have heard NOTHING from you. Here is my original message, which is still in your ticketing system because I just looked it up:

------BEGIN ORIGINAL MESSAGE------

Hello,

I placed my order for the EAZE Magnum of Feb 15th and received it in Feb 28th. I was told I would receive my order within 4 - 10 business days of placing it, not that it would be shipped about 10 days after placing it and it would take 2 weeks to arrive.

The first thing I noticed about the product was that even though minutes after I placed my order and left a note saying the order for the Zero MG chocolate cartridges was accidental and I wanted the High nic ones, I still received the Zero MG.

I wasn't going to say anything about it though until my smaller battery died on March 5th (6 days after receiving it). It is fully charged but appears as though the pressure switch will not engage, as it no longer works at all. The overall performance on this particular battery was flaky from the first drag (harder to draw than the larger battery, had to give it a primer puff to engage the switch).

Now yesterday, March 7th, my larger battery has started acting strange as well. I noticed for some reason this morning it sounds like a component is rattling around inside the tube. This started yesterday and I have not dropped the battery or messed with it in any way that I feel would cause it to break something loose inside. The switch in this battery is now also becoming unreliable, but it works sometimes.

I received a total of 12 cartridges with my order (the two that come with it, the bonus 5 pack and the additional 5 pack I ordered), and I would say 8 or 9 of those 12 carts only lasted for somewhere around 50 puffs each before getting a strong unpleasant paper or plastic burning taste and smell that was also a very harsh throat and chest hit.

Overall I feel like I spent $156 on products that only lasted about a week, and am very disappointed thus far. I would like to resolve this as soon as possible, either via full RMA and replacement of the kit and cartridges, or full refund on the order.

--------END ORIGINAL MESSAGE --------

Now I have even more to say. I did a video review of your product 1 week after I received it - since you took over a week to even ship it, you ****ed up the order on the extra carts, one battery died within like 5 days and the other one started acting weird within 6 days, and almost all the carts burning the **** out of my lungs with burnt ... paper after 50 hits and certainly NOWHERE NEAR the equivalent of 1 pack like you claim, I GAVE YOU A PRETTY BAD REVIEW. You can watch the review on Google Video here: (Removed review link (links to video URLs show the vid window in the post) see the review if you haven't already in the reviews thread - Deficit)

I can take it one step further from Google Video and also post it on YouTube if you'd like to keep dicking around with me. I could also post links to the videos on every single forum even remotely resembling that it might have ANYTHING at all as far as a topic on electronic cigarettes. I'm not going to play games with you, I WILL REPORT YOU TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS WELL AS ANYTHING ELSE I CAN THINK OF TO DO TO DAMAGE YOUR REPUTATION AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Furthermore, you can issue me a refund NOW or you can keep playing and I will do all the aforementioned PLUS I will reverse the charges you made to my card and toss your product in the trash without giving you the courtesy of getting it back. AND I AM NOT PAYING TO SHIP THIS GARBAGE BACK, SO YOU CAN FORGET THAT - I've wasted enough money time and resources on your garbage company and garbage product. Keep playing games and all of the above WILL HAPPEN.

It's Tuesday night and I want a refund confirmation before Wednesday afternoon or I will start taking actions.

Hopefully this will get their attention.

Did I NOT say in my RMA request that I WAS NOT paying for return shipping?! Won't refund used carts?? THEY ARE THE ONES THAT MESSED UP THE ORDER AND GAVE ME ZERO NIC INSTEAD OF HIGH NIC LIKE I ASKED!!! And what about this 20% restocking fee?!?! Do they mean to imply that if the product doesn't work because they sent me a faulty device, that they are going to charge me a restocking fee and make ME pay because they sent me JUNK? I AM FUMING! This was my response:

Once again, I AM NOT PAYING TO SEND THIS THING BACK! If you want to pay to have it sent back, that's fine, but I am not wasting any more time or energy on this crap. This is your last chance before my video goes on YouTube and every electronic cigarette forum known to man. I also won't hesitate to report you to the Better Business Bureau and perform a chargeback on my card... I AM NOT PAYING TO SHIP IT BACK! UNDERSTOOD?

If you want proof that it doesn't work, WATCH MY VIDEO REVIEW OF IT WHERE YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE IT DOES NOT WORK!!

Not refunding used cartridges? YES YOU WILL - YOU F*CKED UP THE ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE! YOU SENT ME ZERO NICOTINE WHEN I ASKED FOR 8 MG AND YOU WILL REFUND THE FULL KIT AND CARTS!!

Looks like they aren't going to budge :|

Deficit,
I know it sucks eggs but you have to pay for return shipping. Its stated in their Return Policy which makes it legal and binding, as is the re-stocking fee. (A lot of companies have jumped on the re-stocking fee bandwagon these days.) Keep your fingers crossed as the re-stocking fee isn't written in stone and you may not have to pay that. It is charged at their discretion, dependent on whether they think they can re-sell the items. Re your nicotine carts, that should be negotiable because it was clearly their error. You should be able to prove your case because it would be documented on your receipt. Make sure you enclose a letter itemizing everything and stating the problem with each. It should also contain your name, order #, PayPal transaction #, and RMA #.

I totally understand your frustration and a lot of us have taken a monetary loss with EPuffer. Please be extra careful that your reviews/videos are factual and not emotional before posting them all over the web. I wouldn't want you to have any defamation law suits. Filing a report with the Better Business Bureau is always an excellent idea, and I encourage anyone who is displeased with EPuffer to do so. This is the best way to warn other potential buyers.

Good luck!

As I have posted earlier, I have bought two kits from e-puffer. The first one was basically DOA. On their reccomendation I bought their Magnum product. One battery DOA, the other dies in 3 days. So back it went. So I was out larger shipping charges and return charges twice... even if I got a refund. Well I got a notice from paypal today regarding the credit for my last return. Below is my question to them regarding the credit amount and their reply:

My note after refund sent:
Hello, I received notice of the credit to paypal account. Can you tell me why you deducted $12.00 from the price I paid?? I paid $141.55, plus $12.00 for shipping, plus tax.. Then I paid to have the item returned and you only credited 129.55, $12.00 less than I paid for the unit. I paid for all the postage, so that is no excuse.
And in addition this is the second time you have not refunded the GST paid. This I will report to Revenue Canada.
Their reply:
We have made an adjustment on your account and refunded an extra $6.25.

The $12.00+gst that you are referring to was charged for the used cartridges at $3.00 each.

My reply:
Well, I’ll say one thing, you guys got some kind of nerve. I pay shipping AND handling charges for one unit that was no good, then I paid to send it back, then I pay for a second unit to be shipped to me, then pay the shipping to send it back… so that is four significant charges and I have nothing to show for it, and you guys have the nerve to charge me for 4 cartridges that were used.. two of which were throw aways trying to figure out why the unit quit working.
This has been by far the worst on-line purchase experience I have ever had.
Please provide me your GST registration number. It should be on your invoices but is not.

Can't wait to see if they give me their GST registration number

If you guys are looking for reliable, trustworthy suppliers, then check out smokesmart.ca

We have great service and anyone having issues will deal directly with me. We have researched manufacturers and have visited with many of them to make sure that we only carry the best ecigs.

Our selection is limited, but we are striving to be the best ecig onlie retailer in Canada (and the US would be nice too).

So, please take the time to check us out. We will not disappoint!

The forum has special rules for suppliers. You will have to read up on them and then notify Smoking Joe that you're a supplier.

Good luck with your business. The web site, while sparse on product, is looking nice. Your host is slow as snot though :)

I can't believe they had that cheap attack over 4 carts after eveything they put you through Flames. Jeez, its like they can't remember who their customers are or what the story is with a particular business transaction. I don't think their left hand knows what their right hand is doing, ie, no business savvy. Congrats on getting some $$$ refunded. I'm curious, did they ever provide their GST reg number?

Well, I updated my case with ePuffer yesterday, told them I had mailed all my stuff back on 2/28 and asking why I had not received a refund yet. I received a response today that they had received my package and issued me a credit today (I guess they were waiting for me to ask why I hadn't received it?). My total order was $164.55. They deducted $17.00 which was my cost for shipping and an additional $22.45 for what they did not say. The $22.45 is less than 20%, I had used 3 cartridges, so I don't know where they came up with that amount and don't feel like wasting my time asking about it. I'm just glad I got the majority of my money back.

This is exactly what I was talking about in a previous post (#80). You're out $39.45 and have no product. EPuffer, on the other hand, has not only made a profit but can also re-sell what you returned to the next unsuspecting customer. The fact that they did not itemize the $22.45 shows their arbitrary business practices. I wouldn't be surprised if you're correct about them waiting to hear from you before issuing a refund. The squeaky wheel gets the oil seems to be their mission statement. I don't understand the charging for used carts. A free 10-pack bonus is included so it seems dishonest to charge for their use - in fact since they are free there shouldn't be a need to return it. I truly hope that a dissatisfied local customer takes them to the equiv of a small claims court one day, and if their business was ever investigated I suspect they would not be able to produce proper business records.
