So, I think I am going to put this up in the correct forum after I finally get out of the new members forum. I am just starting out making my own juices. So far it has been fairly successful. However, I have run into a bit of a problem. My favorite juice from a vendor is a chocolatey hazelnut that is creamy and smooth and it is like $25 a bottle. I have ordered other hazelnut juices from several other venders and they all have this dry, bland aftertaste that just ruins the juice for me and they have not been very creamy either. When I put together my first DIY order, I saw reviews for the Capella hazelnut flavoring and several people described it as desertish, so I got some. I was a little scared that it would just turn out like the juices I got from the other venders, so I tried to look up how to add creaminess to ejuice and found a lot of people recommending Capella's vanilla custard, so I got some of that too. I have made three small batches of hazelnut and vanilla custard now, and even the one that is mainly vanilla custard has that dry and bland after taste and lacks creaminess. (btw, I used EM 10% to sweeten) The vanilla custard is great, but it is not adding the creaminess I want. So basically, what I am asking is is there some sort of amazing cream or magic ingredient that I have not heard of that can add rich creaminess to juice with a dry and bland aftertaste? Do any of you think that maybe this "Smooth" stuff on TFA/TPA can help me? Actually, I would be interested to know what that stuff does regardless of whether it will help me with my recipe. The description on the site didn't really help me understand what it was, but it seemed as if everyone who reviewed it has made it a part of their DIY kits. If any of you use it can you give me an example of a situation in which it was useful? Thanks for any advice.
