Some of my friends were using e-cigs, so I thought, as an adjunct to smoking, I ought to give this a try.
I bought a CE5 about April 2014, which started leaking about 2 weeks in but impressed with the fact that I didn't want a ..., persevered!
I bought a Protank 3 and used the coils provided...I then changed to the 'wickless' coils, a big difference, then I saw something about rewicking, so dropped back to the earlier and gave it a try... A lot better but this had fired my imagination...lots of research and empirical testing later, has me with an RDA Magma clone and a happy nano for the Protank! (30G, Ø0.8mm, 14 1/2 wraps, coil lifted high enough to see all the coil through the gap, rayon with a similar sized 'flavour wick' sat atop)
My favourite build so far, on the Magma (flavour King) ...and I have played with dual coil, single coil 1 strand, 2 strand, 3 strand twisted...all worked ok, the twisted seemed to give a harsh flavour, is a parallel build, single coil,Ø2 mm or 5/64", 28 gauge with rayon/cellucotton wick, 4 1/2 wraps to give 0.4Ω...only vaping at 16w but the flavour is spot on. I've also saved some old liquids by adding a few drops of flavour...had one that was far too sweet, a 70/30, upped the PG/VG with some VG, it was a 24mg/ml, added a good heft of menthol and a touch of espresso and now it's an enjoyable juice.
