Magnetic Firing Buttons and Accidental Firing

Just been to the gym. Had my smok bec pro in my pocket. When I went on the treadmill, I put my vaporiser in my hoody pocket and put it on the front of the treadmill near the floor. When I stopped running and picked up my stuff, and my kayfun was so hot it burned the prints off my fingers.

The mod seemed to have been firing constantly for the whole hour. All the juice was gone and the cotton was totally black.
I'm thinking the electric motor on the treadmill had been generating an electromagnetic field that had been constantly pulsing the magnetic firing button. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really posting this as a cautionary tale, if you have a magnetic firing button, keep it well away from electric motors.

I presume you did not: "Choose menu 6, the screen displays a lock sign, two seconds later, you can choose “LOCK” or “UNLOCK”?

Don
Nope, I never used to bother locking it or power it off since its limited to a 12 second fire anyway, I didn't imagine something pulsing it like that. I just take the battery out now in case the pulsing from the motor manages to emulate the 5 presses needed to switch it back on.

I'm going to have to say it was the electronics, not the magnets.
Has the switch now failed? if not the magnets probably were not effected. However all electronic equipment can be effected by other electronic interference.
If the treadmill uses electromagnetic resistance it could have easily had the BEC thinking it was supposed to fire.
