I'd been thinking magnetic mixers were really expensive, but just now I was looking for a large beaker on Amazon and saw the mixers listed at ~30$. I mix large batches of base (why I was looking at beakers) and fairly large batches of my main flavors, and I've been either just stirring or using an immersion blender beater on my cordless mixer. The stirring takes forever to get things well mixed and the immersion blender adds air.

So, if you've used a magnetic mixer how did/does it go? $30 isn't loose change, but if the magnetic mixers work well I could make it my monthly small splurge.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
I use a hand emulsion blender thing,,, I can use it cooking too. I have a magnetic mixer free from a lab friend,, but its just easier to use the blender thing. I mix up 500mls at a time,, in the measuring cup that came with the mixer. ( I never mix the nicotine in this batch,,, I add that later when I refill my in use bottles.
