Magnets for flat top battery conversion

So i got some rare earth magnets for a mnke 26650 for my cerberus atty with a short pin paired with megan. Sadly they don't stick to the top pos. Of the battery. I hear some put on the negative but this is causes constant firing. So now what?

if the mag sticks to the bottom of the batt you can turn your battery upside down if you use a mech
