Mine generally do the same, they just head about as far west as you are east of Austin. Mine has to get through the local sort after Austin.
I'm not angry, just perplexed. I asked my mail carrier about it and he hadn't seen any package for me since the last one he delivered a week or so ago.

Another thing to consider... You get exactly what you pay for... Uninsured mail for as little as $2.07, or Insured Priority Mail for as little as $5.75. That's cheap... Real cheap. You'd be hard pressed to get me to walk down the street for that kind of money... $1 isn't worth much these days.

Idk I have seen some pretty cool stuff in the right "clubs" for a $1.![]()
Supporting working mothers... well playedOkay, I WILL walk down the street to SPEND $1! LMAO!

I think it's the weather. It has been really difficult on the carriers and truck drivers. Hopefully things will get better once the weather improves.
I know it's probably not what everyone wants to hear but if you are in dire need of something, you should upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority mail. It's guaranteed 2-3 day delivery. First Class mail is not guaranteed and has a 2-5 estimated delivery window.
I am a mailman and hope this helps a little bit. Neither snow nor rain shouldn't stop us but some of these storms we've had in the last month have made it very dangerous to make some deliveries. It's not worth risking your life and well being to get somewhere.
The two packages that were supposed to be delivered today we're, in fact, priority mail packages. Clearly that's no guarantee.
Not trying to be mean, but just pointing out that the upgrade to priority doesn't GUARANTEE two day delivery.
not for puffy eyes.. for blocking out the sun/light so I can sleep after my overnight shifts!
I have gone through H*** with USPS for a while now...even had to work with Consumer Affairs to get some of it straighten out. Apparently they have new software (my mail person said "equipment" but CA said software) and if you google it congress is even looking into the issue....not that I think that is a fix so don't take that wrong....lol but there is more going on than the weather....there was another thread recently we all were having issues and venting about....

It also appears to have a lot to do with some of the distribution centers that have been closed/closing....I currently have one package that went from Illinois to Texas and is now coming back to OK....Also, I was told by "a supervisor" that 2 day/3 day priority does NOT guarantee a delivery date! I don't think I have had 10% of anything I have ordered get to home on time...
I know it's "up above" issue as mail carrier has been the same for over 2 years and is great...the issue is not her's as I am sure it is the same with you but the big boys need to get it together!

LA is where the mail goes to die.
It is a specifically horrid vortex in the USPS web of affairs...
Oh!LA is where the mail goes to die.
It is a specifically horrid vortex in the USPS web of affairs...
...does that include the ones that get on a plane?
