I'm looking to invest in an e cigarette solution, but after doing a lot of reading it seems like the maintenance on a lot of this stuff is a bit much.

What are the high quality options out there with the lowest maintenance/cleaning? If I have to clean something more than once a month it's never going to happen.

It seems like that at the beginning but that passes.
To eliminate some of it:
Get a model or mod with decent battery life and clean every day or two.
Get plenty of carts, cartos, cartomizers so you can reload them at one time. I do this maybe every two/three weeks. If you cycle these, you can reload several times before cleaning.
I buy and/or make my own liquid. When I do the latter, and once I know I like the flavor, I make a 6 ounce bottle up---last for months.
I spent more time making analogs than I fool with them.

How much you want to spend dualism? They have absolutely insane priced vaporizers out there with prefilled and un-refillable carts.

Most the rest of us prefer to refill, and take care of our equiment as a price concern. I'm like jj2, mix my own juice and for $30 im good to go for 5 months at 6ml a day. Or you can pay $20 for 5 prefilled cartridges that would last me not even a day. I find it better to be able to dismantle my PV and clean it, and soak my attys so they last forever VS throwin the entire unit in the trash. It bugs me throwin away my cartomizers, and I'll let them soak for a few days to bring them back to life as well.

I was looking at the Inferno T kit, besides what comes with it, what else would I need?

Price really isn't a concern. The primary use here is for when I get drunk and want a real cigarette. Otherwise I don't smoke.

I'd probably use it occasionally though even when sober because of the flavors.

I spend maybe 30 minutes per week doing actual maintenance on my PVs, if that. All things considered, that's not a lot of time and it keeps them in top shape. You'll probably spend even less time if you buy an eGo-T.

When you buy your kit, make sure you get at least 2 or 3 extra atomizers. You might want to buy a pack of cartomizers just to see if you like those and get plenty of juice!

From what I have read, the lower cost 510 options need a lot of work, way more than I am willing to do.

I want something easy, simple, do all of these need constant attention everyday? I'm probably going to be using this once a week, maybe.

I would avoid the entire nicotine addiction entirely then my friend. Your playing with fire, a consuming fire that has very little joy as the years go by. Your on a forum full of thousands of people addicted to nicotine and praying the vaporizers we love don't get banned and we go back to $6 a pack smokers.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "a lot of work." Like I said, I might spend 30 minutes a week on my mods, which are different from the regular 510s/eGo/Riva type batteries. If you aren't going to be using your PV a whole, like I do, then you probably will have very little maintenance to do. Constant attention isn't really needed, but they do need to have the threads wiped off occasionally (takes a few seconds), carts and cartos need to be filled or refilled (which can be done in a matter of minutes and ahead of time) and of course, you have to recharge them (takes seconds to put it on the charger and can be left on the charger without worry until you want to take it off and use it.)

I don't mean to sound rude, but it really doesn't take a whole lot of work to keep these things in top notch shape. Personally, I think it takes less time to care for my PVs than it did to run to the store and buy smokes. If you can do that, then you can spend just a little time making sure that your PV is in decent condition.

All that said, people DO obsess over some elements of maintenance, much of which I suspect is less necessary than advertized. I recall a poll thread about cleaning attys or cartos and it was pretty obvious that the folks who do nothing get as much - often more - life span from things they don't tinker with. Other than blow out my atty before I change flavors I've done nothing to the one I'm using and it's going on 2-3 months of service now at 2-3 hours/day daily use. What I'm not doing seems to be working well.

Can you deal with adding juice to a cartomizer either several times per day or by topping off several at night? If so then you could use a 2 piece with cartomizers like KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life.com). I recommend manual batteries (less work, more sealed against juice leaks). If you do this you will never have to clean a an atomizer. The atomizer is disposable and inside each cartomizer, but you do need to add juice to them and that can be a bit messy sometimes. If you don't add juice, you could go through several in a day. If you add juice before they get dry and get singed, you can get several days out of each. Of you if you are rich, you can just use several prefilled ones per day then throw them out.

For much longer battery life and ability to use larger tanks of juice, check out Ego-T (though that would involve cleaning to buying a lot of tank atomizers and they are in short supply). Or use an Ego with Cartomizers (see info an cartomizers above)

Whatever you get, you need to deal with charging one battery while you use another. That involves USB or preferable AC to USB or a portable charging case (PCC) can do 3-4 recharges when you are away from power sources if you charge the case every night.

Beyond that, there are exotic mods with a built in juice bottle but they probably involve atomizers which would need cleaning.

Disposables. Have to spend some effort/$ to find the "right" disposable though.

There is no one delivery method that offers maintenance free-long term consistant performance out there (at any price) just a bunch of different attempts (attys,carts,cartos,tanks, etc..) until that big breakthru hopefully happens.

I ended up with the Inferno-T. I watched a bunch of videos and my fears are pretty much gone now. I guess it's a little intimidating at first. It isn't as much work as I thought.

It will be worth it for me. I never smoked much outside of drinking, but I could fell one or two packs easily in one night if I had more than a few beers.

This will really help me avoid waking up coughing up my lungs. I just got it an hour ago and it's just badass.

those throw away ones are refillable and rechargeable.
also, never let anything run dry. drop some VG on the atomizer before using it first time. refill carts frequently. store batteries charged.
