That's a dual coil tank. You cannot use it as a single coil simply by just installing one coil/wick because the juice wells where the other coil should be installed don't have wick to absorb the juice in these well.

There is a solution to turn this into a single coil tank. Easiest solution is to go to Walmart and buy their Equate brand of moldable silicone earplugs and use a piece of that to plug up both the juice ports and air intake where the second coil should be. It won't be the most flavorful tank, but it makes it a vapable single coil tank.

I'll post a picture soon of what I mean.

-----------------------

Edited to add:

Here's the pic. As you can see both of the juice wells and the air intake on the one side of the deck are all completely plugged up with once piece of moldable ear plug. It's not even a whole ear plug, just a part of one. Breaks apart like play dough.

It's important to plug up the air intake and not just the juice wells because that extra air coming into the tank on the side where there is no coil will really kill the flavor.

Authentic Velocity plug shown below doesn't fit the D2's deck because juice well and air intake dimensions are too different.
Thank you very much, I'm doing a dual coil build as we speek. Hopefully it fixes the problem. I appreciate the info

That's the only other solution, use the tank as intended. Just realize that dual coil = more juice consumption. But the flavor & performance should be better.

Nope, still F'ed up, gotta be a missing o-ring somewhere

It's a different issue. No question one coil with no plugs will cause it to leak regardless of bad or missing seals.

Are you sure you pushed the deck into the tank properly? It is keyed so you have to line up the notches. If you don't install it properly it will leak since it will not be sealed.

Wick job could also be a culprit.

Watch this video to get a better acquainted with the tank. You should be able to see if there are any seals missing using this video.

If you did assemble the deck properly into the tank and you really believe it's a seal issue, replace both of the seals below the deck. Should have got extras with the tank. If not, then you need the following orings...

The one right below the deck is
15mm OD, 13mm ID 1mm CS

The one below that one is
15.5mm OD, 13.5mm ID 1mm CS (but 16mm OD, 14mm ID 1mm CS works too)

If you don't have the spares, let me know. I'll link you to a good, inexpensive USA source for decent orings.

Yeah I got extras, I don't see how it could be the o-rings, it's brand new litteraly 4 days old. The first brand new build was perfect with stock coils that came with it. I took them out, but different bigger coils in and bam...all messed up

Bad wicking then (assuming the deck was pushed in properly).

When you're pushing the deck in (properly) you should feel some resistance from the oring. If you do, orings are probably good. However, if you can't solve the problem, then you may want to switch the orings out anyhow because there may be damage that you can't see.

Other than this, I can't really figure what else could cause that tank to leak like that. Never had that problem.

The coil doesn't matter. It's not what's causing your leaking issues. Wicking and/or sealing. That's the problem. But let me see if I can figure this out for you.

Releaser of the KRAKEN
The wick has to reach all the way down between the two sections with the orings. The wick has to fill the entire deck with exception of the coil air holes. This atty is designed for dual coils. Looking at your build, you have saturated cotton over the second coil air hole, just dumping juice down there. So now it's flooding.

If you insist on single coil, try this. Fully wick the deck all around the second coil air hole, don't cover the top of the 2nd coil air hole with wicking material.

Hope this helps you.
