A few weeks back I saw a product called Q vape coiler. It looks very much like the custom made coiler we know of..

I showed the Q vape to a friend and he ordered it. I borrowed it for a overnight try. I made a couple coils with it and my results
where over the top.

I then made some coils my old way. (on a 3mm screwdriver shaft or a 2.5mm finishing nail) and they look and meter exactly the same
they just didn't perform the same as the coils I made on the Q.

So. I ordered one for myself. My coils now are over the top, they make more vape, they sound better, heat up faster, when I dry burn
to test my build it glows way better and more even. what is most important my flavor is increased too.

I think my results have greatly improved because I have a free hand and can get a more consistent build from one wrap to the next.

Bottom line, I have to suggest this type of tool for any serious DIY coiler builder. money well spent..

QVapes Coiler | Congrevape

I currently use a DZjig coiler that works well, tho it's wider and takes more wire than the one at Qvapes, which is shorter but deeper and has more fittings for various sizes of coils.

Yes, I have the device that spawned things like that qvape clone. Here it is:

It was made in small batches by darkzero, a REOnaut.

Once he saw the clones he said F that and quit making them.

Like ethermion said, you can't beat an artistic wire coiling gizmo for perfect, tension wrapped coils. It's all I use anymore. Hand Wrapping wire around a fixed mandrel is old school. With the artistic, you keep your wire in the spool, apply tension and spin the mandrel.

Hi Super X,
First i want to thank you big time !! i have been reading your input on ECF for two weeks, and it helped me big time. Mainly understanding a 'true' micro coil away from the 'un accurate youtube videos' !!
Second, i am using the artistic wire gizmo, it is super easy and perfect. But i have only one challenge. If i want to make a mini coil (2mm, 2.3mm), there is no rods with this diameter ! if i can find such rods, it will be perfect !!

You're welcome. The pleasures mine :). Yes those guys messed up the concept something fierce. They have everyone believing you need an acetylene torch and vice grips to make a "micro coil" that is some ungodly large diameter :)

I procured .055" music wire from hobby lobby and bent one into a mandrel using my hands and some pliers. It was fairly easy at that diameter. You could do the same with your diameter but I suspect bending it is going to be more of a challenge.

I even improved in the design to allow more precise and simple wire capture in the wingnut and not have the wings of the wingnut hit the wire as it passes by bending a mandrel with the loop 90 degrees from orientation on the factory mandrel. See below - it's the one in the middle.

What I really like about the gizmo and wingnut is the perfectly straight legs it produces :)

Thanks again :)
