Here is what you need for both you and your wife. The MVP is a great little device, works well, and the battery life is amazing. This is a reliable vendor and if you use the code ECF at checkout, you will get 10% off and free shipping. The price is only $39.99, which is a good price for the MVP. I would highly recommend this to you:

VapingME.com presents the Innokin MPV USB APV

You should check this. May be a minor error in their site. They stated they sell iClear 30 with the set, but on picture and on link they show iClear16. Both are good for starters, but you need to buy spare coils (they usually lasts for a week); so you need to know which coils to order – for iClear 30 or 16. Call them. If money are tight, you can learn to make your own liquid – easiest way to save (about 5-10 times cheaper than to by ready to use liquids).

Finding a beginner setup sucks, i would say go with the ego c twist and an iclear but to save you frustration i would say the itaste mvp 2.0 and that will come with an iclear 30 . Juices is a complete trial and error , i make my own juices to save money, but i hope this answers you question welcome to the vape world happy vaping

I second this. I had the Ego-C Upgrade which is similar to the twist and liked it but I traded that in for the MVP after about two weeks. The MVP has so much more versatility with just a slight increase in learning curve. I am loving it so far, and so will you.

I almost always recommend the MVP or VV/VW to a beginner. There are more affordable setups, but I learned the hard way that if your gear doesn't work right frustration sets in and the cigarettes come out. I started vapeing in 2009, and didn't finally quit until 2014.

With the amazing new stuff out there there is a quality piece for everyone's budget.
Is it going to be a hand build top of the line mod? Probably not, but that is not what you need to start.
You need something that will work reliably so you don't pick up the cigs.
Then if you get into the hobbyist aspect that many of us do there is more out there.
If all you are looking to do is quit cigs, you have what you need save spare coils and juice.

That's the reason I made my recommendation. I started with the crappy 510's and crappy little cartos with polyfill. You really had to WANT to vape. It was work! I don't want to steer anyone beyond the financial means. Additionally I don't want them to pick up a piece of crap from a truck stop and be totally turned off cause the hardware and juice are crap :)

The general concensus here seems to be: MVP. I agree with this. Not too cheap, not too expensive. It's a great, long lasting, user friendly device that you will not outgrow. You won't regret getting an mvp, but you most likely will regret getting something cheap and will buy an mvp later anyway. Save yourself the trouble and money.

Good luck, hope we all didn't overwhelm you.

Think I might try and sell some of my remote controlled stuff and come up with a bit more money and maybe sooner.
I am feeling really optimistic that this will work.
I have 4 maybe 5 vapor stores in my area. Replacement parts should be easy to find.

Not feeling overwhelmed at all. I really appreciate the info and its nice to see a really active community willing to help out a beginner.

You are right to be optimistic. It does work, if you want to quit smoking and are willing to give it a little time and effort. I smoked a couple of packs a day for over 40 years, and was able to stop the day I got my first vaping set up. Some folks take a while longer, but they get there. I was absolutely ready to quit smoking, and I did. Hooray for me!

As a beginner I would strongly recommend this exact setup. It's very affordable and I can promise it's one of the cheapest yet effective ways to start

Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape - The mod. I know no one says they like box mods until they start vaping and realize they are just amazing! You wont be upset

Genuine ASPIRE Nautilus Mini - 101 Vape - The best tank for the price right now!

Good luck! You also get a free iclear 30 included.. I would use this as a backup it really isn't amazing compared to modern day clearos

Hi,

Newb here etc so apologies for hijacking this thread and probably asking a question that has been asked and answered 100 times but.....

Recently turned from smoker to vaping, I am pleased to say I have almost gone to zero cigs a day from about 15-20, I am still a sucker for the occasional one in the evening with a drink. As almost all of you know this feels great that you have finally found a easy and in many ways preferable way to cut down from taking in 4000 odd chemicals to 3, all of which are deemed fairly safe.

However..... I bought the eGo-C twist and the CE4 clearomizer and when it works it works well, however I constantly get dry and burnt hits. I buy more parts, switch them around and the problem seems to be fairly constant. I clean it, I huff and puff whilst not pressing the button etc, problem always come back at some point. In frustration at this stage I normally go and have a cigarette.

Finally the question! What is the best set up for the eGo-C? I like vaping fairly constantly through the day, fill up twice/three time and go through 2 x 1100mAh batteries. Should I move off the eGo range and look elsewhere? Is there a firm favourite amongst those that have been vaping for a while?

There are no ecig shops near me to go and get some advice/browse so everything needs to be bought online and shipped.

Thoughts appreciated.

JC

Starter Kit VV V3 Mega 1300mAh Authentic Battery with Mini Pro Tank 2 V2 USA | eBay

I have ordered from this guy, it's an ego vv/vw 1300 mAh battery with a mini-protank (clone) for $23!! the battery is authentic, I've bought 4 for friends starting out. Tank is not, but it works. The MVP is a great choice too (that is what I bought first) but if looking for a more cigarette-feeling choice, this kit is great. Really fast shipping, but I see he is running out of stock. Don't know where he stole them from :) at this price, but it's a heck of a deal!!

The best advice I can give you is to keep in mind the amount of money your used to spending a month on cigs. When it comes Down to an extra five bucks for a better tank or something like that spend it! It's going to replace a addiction you've had for years and you want the thing to be reliable. I jumped over clearomizers to carto tanks when I started, I don't know if they are better now but they used to be leaky pieces of crap, frustrating and unreliable. Bottom line is that with the right setup you should be able to deliver nicotine more effectively and without the negatives that come with smoking, good luck, welcome to town, feel free to Pm me any questions, BTW that mvp deal is a winner.

I like that MVP. I had only looked at the smaller ones didnt realize that one was much cheaper online. Maybe I can get one of the local vendors to come down a bit on there price and might help me choose a local vendor for vape flavor purchases.

They're not gonna come down, that's how they make their money :)

I second 3rd or 4th or etc on the mvp it really is a great device. I also agree with RIMP. best to get it online. You can get a little ego type for now at your local shop and then when you get your mvp you will have a backup. Which is very important to newbies IMO. Local shops are great because you can sample flavors before you buy and the advice is usually really good. good luck VAPE ON!!!
