hi guys

i have been checking out the forum for the past few days and have learned a lot.

after buying my first e-cigarette last week ive decided to switch over to vaping

i have a few questions, and wanted to run a few things by you guys before i make my first purchase

i was planning to start with this model
eGo-T Starter Kit (1000 mah Batteries) TITANIUM ONLY!! - Smoke Anywhere For Penny's, LLC Store

i was wondering about one thing.. because with this kit you seem to get 2 atomizers and 2 battery does this mean you get 2 2 separate e-cigarettes?

also.. i was wondering about the tanks and the tank caps.. are they reusable? are they durable? i was planning on buying some extras so i wouldn't have to keep placing orders

what do you think about these??

eGo-T 2.5ml Tank Clear (5 Pack) - Smoke Anywhere For Penny's, LLC Store

Tank Caps - Smoke Anywhere For Penny's, LLC Store

as for the e-juice i was planning on going with the 50/50 mix

but as for the nicotine content .. im not sure.. i smoke about 35 light cigarettes a day
as i am trying to quit smoking.. i want something satisfying but not too over the top
what would you guys suggest??

any thing im missing for my first purchase?
has anyone dealt with SmokeAnywhereForPennys.com ??
are their prices decent? fast shipping? are they reputable?

i know ive got a llot of questions.. thanks a lot in advance

I haven't ordered from that particular vendor, but when I started in June, I went with the eGo-T, as well.

I just have the normal (~650 mAH battery), and it usually lasts me two days between charges. I like the size & think the 1000 would be longer than I would like, but to each their own.

Yes, the starter kit comes with two complete units. It's nice to have so one can be recharging while you use the other. I just ordered a third battery, as I've occasionally forgotten to recharge, and had both run out simultaneously :(

Extra tanks is a good idea, extra caps seems unnecessary. I would just get more tanks. You can reuse them, and I generally use them for 1-2 days, then they go in a jar that I wash later. I have ~15 tanks, and just ordered another 10. There are very small parts that go missing over time. Also the end-cap (not the cap you mention, but the cap that holds the eLiquid in) seems to wear out over time, and the tank becomes loose. I've only noticed this with one but something to keep in mind.

It's been mentioned in other threads, but I would get extra atomizers (assuming you're using the default Type-A kind). I would get an extra 3-6, and expect to get more in a few months. I had a few DOA, and ruined a few trying to clean them. A few have lasted about 4 months, but the rest are in rough shape at this point.

I am finishing up my second order of eLiquid. Some 50/50 and some 100% PG. the 50/50 is thicker. I hadn't noticed it until recently, but it seems like it may not flow into the atomizer as nicely as the PG. I am now only ordering PG, and will see how that compares.

I smoked lights ~1 pack/day for 15 years. I was unsure about eLiquid strength, and have been quite pleased with the 24mg stuff.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Hi! I've got the ego t 650 also and totally love it. I've just ordered some more tanks and some silicone caps I read about in another thread. I'll be ordering an extra atomizer or two when payday comes around but only to have extras. I got mine from Liberty Flights so I can't help with the vendor you mentioned, but you might want to check prices out quite a bit as I've noticed they vary from $52 (which is what I paid after the discount) to $79. Big difference! My order was just the kit (with 2 completes) and some juices to try and I'm very very pleased. I have the 24 mg juices but I just ordered some more and got the 18 mg. I smoked for 38 years and had gotten down to a pack a day of lights. Good luck and enjoy!

...the following is from a previous post of mine...not familiar with the vendor you listed...the safest and most legitimate vendors are in the Forum Suppliers list...they are the only legit vendors out there but have been pretty well vetted by members of this board..........
madjack:2cool:

I'm still a relative newbie and when I started researching I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choice out there...so, do you want to quit smoking and save money or do you want a new and possibly expensive hobby...based on what I wanted, which was to get away from the funkarettes(but not nicotine) and save money, I would recommend to you goto Liberty Flights and click the 20%discount button on the top left of page, scroll down to Riva510>>>Riva510Lite Bundle...this kit is 30 bux and you will get 2, 7-8 hour batts and 2 std attys(around 3ohms), a USB charger and a wall adapter for it...you also get some cartridges(carts)...since the carts are more or less a PITA, goto Crystal Clear Vaping and pick up one of their LR carto bundles...I personally like the Resurrectors(1.7ohm/2ml capacity) but any of the bundles on that page will do, included in the bundle will be 2 drip tips a syringe and free shipping...this will get you started with a decent, inexpensive starter kit...you can also shop for liquids at LF or even CCV...

Cartomizers(cartos) are considered disposable and you should get around a week with any of those I linked too...you can clean them and get about another week out of them...after that, their performance will fall off quickly...the batts in that kit should last you a minimum of 6 mos...maybe longer...the drip tips can be used for dripping with the included atomizers(attys) or as a better mouth piece with the cartos...so, with the above you will be good to go for a while...

There are other options, for example, the kGos from Hoosierecigsupply are somewhat longer than a Riva and are 1100mah and will give you another 4+-hrs of usage...the E-Power, available from either of those vendors for around another 20 bux is a similar looking unit with drop in batts, these batts will give about 10-12+-hrs usage and are around 2/3rds cheaper to replace when the time comes...after that comes box mods, some of which are pretty inexpensive such as foxyboxmods.com - Home, tube mods such as the RoughStak from MadVapes ...all of these options are well under 100bux...after that, the sky is the limit for where ya wanna go...the question is...what do you wanna do, quit smoking, save money or take up a new hobby...the choices are yours.........
madjack:2cool:

p.s. all batt times are for pretty much non stop chain vaping...more or less, kinda, sorta...YMMV.............mj

p.s.s. on liquids, this can drive ya crazy...pick up something to start with, based on descriptions or reviews...30ml(1oz)(10bux+- to 30bux) will getcha going for a week orso while you do some more research on whatcha might want...after that first bottle, it is best to buy smaller sample bottles(5-10ml) until you find the flavor or 2r3r4 that trip your trigger. THEN, you can buy larger bottles..........mj

I would look at the Riva 510 Lite Bundle from Liberty Flights for my first kit. You get 2 750mah batteries, 2 atomizers, a cone, and an Ego class charger for $29.95. This is pretty much identical to an Ego kit, but for less money.
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

I'd order a box of Boge 510 Cartomizers while I was there (5 in a box for about $8). And yes, you do get 2 complete electronic cigarettes in an Ego or Riva kit.

As far as the tanks, Id read up on others experiences with the tank first. There are some who love the tank, some who love it at first and later experience flooding and leaking problems, and some who don't think the vape is as good as a carto. You can buy the tank atomizers separate and use them with the Riva batteries in the kit above.

I'm not trying to talk you out of the tank. I have type A and Type B tanks, also. I just think you should check out the chatter before deciding. Other than the tank itself, there's no difference in the standard Ego or Riva 510 kit and the Ego-T kit except for the tank attys. Some of the new Ego-T kits have batteries with the on/off feature. This battery is showing up in most Ego and Riva kits now, also.

I only have 5 weeks of vaping under my belt but my advice would be to not expect to get the perfect fit the first time out, not that that means you shouldn't research, as you are obviously doing and as I did also. Everyone is different and what works for one might not work for you. That being said, for your first purchase you would probably be wise to go with what most recommend -- the ego gets consistent good reviews. I started with the Elite from CigEasy and then ordered a kgo from a vendor that gets uber kudos from everyone here -- hoosierecigsupply. The kgo has a larger battery and more oomph than the Elite, and the hoosier vendor is enormously helpful and upright; they had a deal where if you spend like $55 or something you get free shipping, so I thought what the heck and ordered a couple of sets of tanks tho I'd never used them before, and the vendor thew in gratis a carto thingie. The AC charger was DOA (though thank heavens the usb charger works) but I wrote to him and he's sending out a replacement asap.

It's probably going to take you some trial and error to find the best setup for your own personal tastes, but you probably won't go wrong with the ego for starters. It seems like a lot of money but when you figure a carton of analogs (here in NC anyway) is like $65, you'll be ahead of the game before too long. I have been very happy with the juice from primevaping but again, it's a very individual thing and although i lucked out with them, don't be surprised if you have to do some experimenting.

Good luck!
