Hello all,I posted a thread a few weeks back about my first diy which ended in disaster.I got some great advice and found the 70/30 vg/pg base from nn was terrible. So i ordered some all vg from egigexpress and i have made some vapeable stuff but it seems like the vg base is overtaking my flavor to a certain degree.I am definitely shaking everything up really good before mixing.I appreciate you guys help and i promise you i have made some real headway in my diy journey. The question i have is how do you get the vg base taste not quite so strong.I have tried the flavors at different percentages from 2% up to 20% and still the base is overwhelming the flavors.I need a little advice once again. You guys don't know how much i appreciate your help.Thank You

How do you define a base? What is a typical base your talking about consist of?
VG and flavors that you add to a mix?
Could you show your mix?
The base consist of the 100% vg from ecigexpress strawberry ripe from TFA at percentages from 5% up to !5%.And the juice taste pretty much just like the base does alone.

Are you dripping or using a tank? Sounds to me like you drip as the juice is most likely coming out to about 90/10. I find a small amount of distilled water can make all the difference in the world brining up the flavor in high VG juice. Just a few drops per ML of mixed juice.

I tried 5% with the tfa strawberry but the base flavor just overwhelmed the strawberry. Then 10% and still tasted mostly base.
I think your terms and mine are different in definition. Can you copy and paste the recipe in this post?
It should look something like this with the percentages filled in:

5% Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)
% Sweet Cream (TPA)
% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
% VG
% PG
% Nic
------------
100%
Your recipe should tell us whats going on assuming your using a e-liquid calculator.

I drip to try out the taste before i mess up a tank.Maybe that is not giving me the same taste as it would in a tank?I thought the taste would be the same,I really don't know but i will try it with a little distilled water.I do want to ask you guys about where to buy the best all vg base to go into recipes.

I buy all my PG and VG from essentials depot via Amazon. I buy by the gallon and have not had a bad taste come through yet. I've even used CVS brand USP or Kosher glycerin and found it tasted fine in a pinch. I guess I may be lucky, never got a funky batch of base materials.

That's only 2% flavor, if you mean you added .5ml of flavoring to 24.5ml of VG to get a 25ml bottle of juice. Try putting 2.5ml of flavoring in and 22.5ml of VG. That would give you a 10% flavor, which could still be a little low, depending on the specific flavor. I usually use 15% of a fruit flavor if I'm making a single flavor.
