I just bought my second mod which is the istick (first was the MVP), and I'm ready to get my first rda. I've decided on getting a Atomic rda clone and I just wanted to know what gauge kanthal to get. With the istick you can't go below 1ohm, so I'm looking to build coils between 1-1.5ohms. Any help or advice is much appreciated! :vapor:

30 gauge wire works great with my MVP. I would stick to 1.5 - 2.0 ohm coils. Even though the MVP will fire a coil as low as 0.8 ohms, the 3.5 amp limit means that it will only fire that 0.8 ohm coil at 2.8 volts regardless of what it is set to. You need a 1.5 ohm coil in order for it to actually fire at the voltage you have set.

The iStick goes to 5.5 volts and has a 4.5 amp limit, so you need to stay above 1.25 ohms if you want the full range of adjustability.

Amps = Volts / Resistance

2.8 V / 0.8 ohms = 3.5 A (MVP limit)
5.0 V / 1.5 ohms = 3.33 A (just under MVP limit)
5.5 V / 1.25 ohms = 4.4 A (just under iStick limit)
