For tanks, notcigs is carrying some new pretty inexpensive ones. The b4 is the larger one, user changeable drip tip, h2 is smaller, ego connection, integral tip. I've used protank/dbox coils with them, the ones with the shorter metal center tube, not sure if the longer tube coils will work.

They're polycarbonate, but a sweet price if your eliquids are not from the tank cracking families.

I would say the MVP2.0 It allows you to use 510 as well as EGO threaded atomizers. The battery life is exceptional, recharging takes only 3.5-4 hours from a totally dead battery using a wall charger(I use my phone charger). the MVP introduces you to VV/VW within a safe range. Most call it a noob mod, but I rather prefer to think of it as a great device that bridges the gap between cig-alikes and advanced mods where battery care/knowledge is paramount. I also really love it's portable power pack ability as well.

The kits at the link I posted are $75. That includes 2 batteries, a charger, a case, and a cheap clearo.
Man, for an extra $25 you get a *really* well built mod. Can't beat VariTube's pricing on the Sigeleis.

No argument on what you get for the money, that is where I got my Legend (Black Friday Special), but the OP specifically stated the budget was $50, so I just wanted to make clear it was over the budget.

If you are going VV/VW I'd recommend to buy quality. Something that will last years. Would also recommend getting a device that will put out 6 volts and 15 watts. Sure, you may not need it now, but if you further expand into rba's & rda's you'll have the power to push it to the limits.

The main reason I dislike the MVP is the 11 watt, 5 volt max and the internal battery. I now vape at 15 watts minimum, and the battery, once toast, the MVP is toast. With a good tube or box mod with replaceable batteries, you only need to buy new batteries.

In my opinion an ego VV bat is not an upgrade, more of a lateral move. It's still an ego with all of it's deficiencies. A decent intermediate tank is the Aspire BDC Vivi Nova tank. Cheap, great vape, replaceable coil heads, blows the PT 2 out of the water.

Make a good decision on quality gear now, and one won't have to upgrade, then it will be just adding to the collection. I've given away all my original starter kits and ego's and am now in the expand collection mode. What I own now I'll always have.

I started off with a regular ego 650mah battery myself and a ce4 clearo. Was a decent vape and performance but it just wasn't cutting it for me. After doing a fair amount of research I landed on the Innokin Itaste Vv/Vw V3.0 and could not be more happy. I purchased mine from AltSmoke BnM Store in Columbus and got a starter kit with two Iclear 16 clearomizers and 2 heads and a 10ml of juice for 60USD even. I highly recommend it :)

The MVP2 is probably the most popular mid-range mod right now, but I'm going to throw in my vote for the SVD. I have both and while I enjoy and use my MVP a lot, the SVD comes with a little discussed feature that's absolutely huge. It has a floating center pin. I have a SID that's pretty much unusable now because the center pin got pushed in too far. I have to pull the post on cartos when I want to use them on my MVP2. And with some cartos like the Boge F16 v2 ones, there's no way to pull the post so I just can't use them on my MVP2.

On the other hand, I never have to worry about wondering if something is going to work on my SVD and never have to fuss with pulling the post on my cartos.

I think you're leaning in the right direction!! The MVP is a great unit. Paired with the Protank II, nice little stup and within your budget. The wife might like the Itaste VV/VW v3. Excellent performance and the Mini Protank II fits it nicely. It's lighter and easier to handle.

I went with this for my second build and it was fantastic. Gave it to my gf when I upgraded, she loves it compared to her old EVOD unit.

Floating pin? I like. I had to find a special tool(binder clip end piece) to pull the posts on my cartos for the MVP after a kanger pro tank2 corrupted my center pin. Maybe MVP3 will have a spring loaded pin??? *hint hint
