Making the Switch

Hey guys, so I have a question. I have been vaping for a very long time, and have been completely off of cigarettes for about a year and a half. I started out at 1.8% nicotine, and have gotten myself down to 0.6% nicotine e-liquid currently. I have been getting headaches lately, and my doctor has prescribed medication that hasn't helped at all. I was thinking maybe I have been getting too much nicotine because I vape very often, and I have come to the conclusion that I really would like to take the final step and make the switch to 0.0% nicotine e-liquid. I would like to be completely non-dependent on nicotine, and only vape for fun when I feel like it, on zero nicotine of course. Does anyone have any tips on how I can make the switch? I can survive without vaping at all for about 3 hours or so, so I'm not a total nicotine junkie. Should I buy a bunch of zero nicotine e-liquid? I just want to figure out how to make the final leap in terms of vaping, and finally free myself from the hands of nicotine addiction. Thanks for any help!

We're all different, so one person's experience might not apply yo you.

Just get the same juice you vape so often in 0mg and try it for yourself. At least you have your nic juice as a savior if you can't endure it. Worst case scenario, you can use it to reduce the nic content of your regular vape.

I too sometimes get headaches when I vape a lot and am considering reducing my nic content from 9 to 6mg

The way I did it was to slowly start diluting the juice, possibly adding 50/50 PG/VG, this will also dilute the flavor so you can order high flavored juice or add a bit of flavoring to not lose the taste......6,5,5,5,4,4,4,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,2,2,2,2,2,1,1,1,1,1,0,1,3,2,1,2,1,1,1,1,0,0,0,0. This just an example...

I weaned off slowly because I was a 42yr PAD smoker and wanted to be certain I could come off and STAY off. I have quit everything for 3 yrs and then came back to vaping after picking up an analog and smoking for a few days.
YMMV, keep in mind there is no rush. Remember also if you lower your nic in half but then double the amount you vape you are back at square one.

Take it easy, you should be very proud you haven't smoked in 1.5 yrs.

I wonder about that day. The thought just occurred to me to mix 0mg and 6mg to get 3mg. I don't know.

I mix 6 and 12 at 2:1 to get about 8mG, so it is doable. One important point, though: once you mixed, run plenty of warm water on the bottle and shake it for a good looooong time... then repeat a few times. It is much harder to get mixed nic contents to even out than you'd think.
