Remember when the first electronic cig kiosks opened? In my city, most appeared to be operated by middle east folks-- they'd blow vapor at you as you walked by talking canned sales speech. I never stopped because I wasn't ready.

Last night, I saw another and stopped. It was being operated by (not owners) by an obviously local couple. I casually walked around, looking at the ego type batteries and the small bottles of juice. The woman approached me and asked me if I'd like any information. I asked about the juice base ratio and she looked at me like I was crazy. I then took out my provari mini, topped with a carto tank from IBTanked.

It was as if I had brought out a two-headed lizard. At first she just stared blankly, then with astonishment squealed (yes, squealed), "What it that??" I gave her the brand name, but quickly realized that meant nothing- the woman, as an ambassador to the world of vaping, not only did not recognize a battery other than the ego type, but didn't know what a carto tank was either! You should have seen the look on her face when I showed her the battery inside!

Dang, just dang.

Same happened here. I walked up to the Kiosk just looking for a fun time (I always have to crack jokes, there such rip off here its pathetic) So my wife & I walk up and I see they had a couple Ego batteries with some ce4's on it. I asked how much is that setup and I didnt know they started carrying clearos. She said that setup is 199.99 but she could do it today with 2-10ml bottles of juice for 50 off so $149.99. I laughed a little and out of no where my wife (who is not a vapor) bluntly said isnt that the same set up such and such store across town was selling for like 30.00. I said yes, yes it is and I said actually for little more you get 2 yes 2 of everything and a charger & carrying case LOL.

Needless to say when I pulled out my Provari with a SS Elegance Tank she was like speechless about the pricing. I said carry on and walked away lol

Might I add I'm 150% for a store making profit especially with overhead & other expenses. BUT THERE COMES A TIME WHEN HIGHWAY ROBBERY SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! But then again YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOP THERE!

I didn't even go to pricing. ;) Hard to say, but I'd like to believe that even if I didn't know crap about vaping, I'd realize ignorance and not bite. I can't imagine they are helping support the cause.

I NEVER buy from one of those "Scam Carts". My wife almost fell victim to the one with ceramic hair curlers and straighteners. We were at the Mall one day and I ran off to look at something I was interested in. After a while I realized something was wrong, my wife had not called to nag me about where I was. So I went to find her sitting at this "Scam Cart" having her hair straightened by the snake oil salesman. I'll admit it did seem to do a good job and fairly quickly. When she was done she was in LOVE with this thing and the guy wanted $270 for the "kit" but said since he liked us he could come down to like $235. My wife immediately started begging me to get it.

So I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy S4 opened up Dolphin browser, pulled up Amazon and showed her the EXACT same product down to the color she wanted for $130 with free shipping. Considering I had just recently paid $80 to get both of our phones upgraded that right there paid for the upgrades and then some...and my wife learned a lesson about how not to get ripped off.

EDIT: Sorry I meant Galaxy S3...the 4 is what I want lol.

the one in my mall literally had me almost crying. I had made friends with one of the nice older male employees. the owner spoke to me over the phone many times and gave me an interview date. I went for the interview and I was told he was on a vacation cruise? So I came back the next week to have my friend call him. My friend was not there and the lady that was working, basically told me I was not liked & that the owner personally told her to tell ME personally, that I will not be considered for a job? Out of nowhere. He showed a lot of interest in me as a future employee, and then this? (I am guessing because I had shown one of the employees a simple link to ECF, and my lavatube mod) I took it more personally than I should have and said "OK" and turned around and began to tear up. The mall booths don't care about you. The eGo kit at Nuvo Cig is over $60 for ONE 900mah eGo, 5 cartomizers and a charger. The people that work these booths are uneducated and they (in my experience) do not want to be educated.

Sorry you had to go through that but there is a reason I call them "Scam Carts". They are little fly-by-night scam artists selling stuff they bought on amazon for double the price. There is absolutely NOTHING sold by a kiosk cart that you cannot get elsewhere for a LOT less. They prey on people that buy on impulse and have no shame in doing so.

In this day and age where practically everyone has internet access on their phone they should always look online for a better deal and even reviews before buying pretty much anything. I have even been in Wal-Mart looking at carpet cleaners and jumped on my phone to check online reviews before deciding which one to get.

I never purchase anything anymore without getting online. Like I said I dont mind paying a little more for local shops BUT I'm not going to get ripped off either!

My only problem with shopping online vs. a store is, Amazon is not just a local store its a bazillion stores in one. I go to say Home depot for something I get what I need and get out. I go to amazon for the same part, I can also purchase other crap that had nothing to do with my initial purchase lol. I cant shop amazon without going to my HUGE wish list and finding something else and say well...I am over my 25 for free shipping lol might as well get that too

Plus nuvocig had no interest in helping CASA or the CT vapers rights when we were fighting a bill banning vaping in public areas. They responded to no e-mails, no fb messages, no fb comments, to this day they will not respond to e-mails asking if they wanted to get involved in fighting the bill. Stupid booths.

Where I live there's a small half assed mall, with a new kiosk selling empire cigalikes. I asked them if they had any ego batteries as I might need a spare. Was told they had a shipment that customs was holding, turns out they were some type of clones. I did get a spare charger for my truck, but asked about the pg/vg ratio of the juice they had. It was like I asked a question about the space shuttle, they didn't have a clue. I had an ego with a evod on it, they had never seen one and asked about it. After I chatted with the lady for a spell, the owner didn't like me being there, so I moved on.

The Kiosk at the one mall who has one (that I know of) is actually not that bad. They have ego c's, twists, some kind of variable voltage mod but I don't recognize the name, Kanger (yes!) pro tanks, evods, I bought my eRoll there. They are a bit more expensive (protank $25) and that's probably the main problem. The two people I've encountered who work there have known what they're talking about--one girl was talking on the phone to someone helping them troubleshoot their CE5. After she got off the phone, she started asking the guy who was waiting for her how his coil rebuild went.

Pretty impressive--but I only get accessories and juice from them when I'm in a pinch and can't wait.
