A couple of days ago I posted a story about the first person in US history to ever get a ticket for vaping and driving. Today, I got to sit down and speak him to get his side of the story. I think you'll find the follow up story to be very interesting. I'm not allowed to post links, so you'll have to look the story up in Google under- Exclusive: Man found guilty of electronic cigarette law that does not exist

I would like to get your feedback on the story once you've had a chance to read it. How does this make you feel as a vaper? I know it's only one instance and I know there are a ton of police officers who vape and it's not a problem in most places, but does it change the way you will vape while driving?

If someone can help out and post a link to the story to save everyone the trouble it would be much appreciated!

That's good to hear he wasn't targeted for vaping. What good luck that his phone is a remarkable color, and that he knew how to collect his cell phone data and so on. Too bad the judge can't just send in a pardon paper, citing it was his own blunder, not the plaintiffs. Oh well.

The article and non biased attitude is well done!
I do worry now though, that the lunatics will now be adding such a thing to their monthly Bills.
There is one brand new eCig out on the market that has some kind of Bluetooth. The battery life has got to be totally pathetic, I'm sure it won't sell many, or be used to any extent.

I'm glad I use a mechanical eCig... an mCig if you will.

Story is well written, and interesting. I really don't see any great conspiracy against vapers, though... just sounds like honest people trying to do their job, but without an understanding of what e cigs are, and the laws (or lack thereof) pertaining to them.

Was gonna post the link but looks like you beat me to it. Thanks for making us aware...

Little story about New York. I was driving into the state about 30 seconds after I crossed the state Line some jerk with New York tags cuts me off gives me the finger gets on the left side of my car honks for a while well giving me the finger and trying to act tough. Then takes the next exit, never saw him again. So because of all the stupid laws (and some times people) New York has I will never go back and I will never spend another dime at a company from New York. All of the time I have ever spent in that state was scary, I wonder if I was going to be murdered. To this day I don't know what's caused that but my guess is the New England Patriots bumper sticker.
That was in up state New York. Never been to NYC and never will. But at least i got a funny story about the state.
I have never ...... off another driver more than that guy. I mean that guy was ...... off like red in the face fixing to have a heart attack ...... off. My friend who was with me had no idea what I did to piss that guy off so bad.

That's insane. Some people are just wacko. I think there are a few who are just mad at the world. I'd say you are right about the bumper sticker though. People can go insane over teams. I think its psychotic to get that worked up over a bumper sticker. He needs some sort of anti-anxiety medication...maybe even hospitalization.

It makes me nervous only because I have heard story's about being stopped for "appearing" to be using drugs.
Most are more educated now, but there have been people hauled off and their "paraphernalia" confiscated.
Also there are other cases where passengers in other cars have called the police because they thought they were witnessing someone using drugs while driving.
I don't want to have a run in with one of those dummies.

That judge should be forced to resign, they have no business interpreting the law with such abysmal reading comprehension skills. Hearing stuff like this makes me livid. You shouldn't get to choose ignorance and get to make decisions about other peoples lives. His career is more criminal than anything that vaper did. If he doesn't get it turned over with an appeal someones going to need to wrap my head with pillows & duct tape to keep me from breaking it open on a wall. Stupid is far more dangerous to the public's health at the moment than second hand smoke could ever be.

Not only did the judge and court attorney not know the law they blamed the defendant for not giving the information prior to sentencing so it now has to go on to an appeals court. What!? Something doesn't smell good at all here. He really needs to appeal it just for the sake of getting that ticket removed from his record, it's not even liable! I'm astounded.

You get .... like this all the time in the UK; bored, "green" cop decides to arrest somebody for breaking a law that doesn't exist in the first place. It's happened to me in fact: I was arrested for the "crime" of drinking a can of lager outside my house on the street with a couple mates; needless to say, I wasn't charged for it. I'm blown away that not only was this guy charged...but found guilty in a court of law! Seriously, I'm just speechless.
