Hi looking for a realistic Mandarin flavour to mix with cream, have used F. A. but not quite what I'm looking for.

The FA just seemed thin or not enough depth if that makes any sense. I do vape at lower wattage then most. I'll post some more information after the Canucks game is over, third period just starting, back in a bitHate to say it but I have tried a bunch and FA's is about as good as it gets to real mandarin. Its good around 2-2.5% with cream. What do you not like about it? Could help with the answer
I tryed it with FA orange but the Fanta taste overpowered it, which I first enjoyed but got bored with quick. Tryed 3 to 5 % Mandarin with orange at half the strength of Mandarin. Maybe browse my next post for recipe. TyI use TFA:
mandarin 4%
orange cream 4%
Bavarian Cream 4%
my MIL likes it, but I've found that I like it better with a little bit of strawberry and less bavarian cream
Makes total sense and I agree to a point. Its not a perfect flavor by any means but I do think FA is closer than any other I have tried. FA orange on the other hand isnt even close IMO. Its really flat to me and really light (thin). FA blood orange on the other hand is great. I would try replacing the orange with blood orange and maybe CAP sweet tangerine. I would start around 1% though. If its fullness (if that makes sense) maybe a touch of guavaThe FA just seemed thin or not enough depth if that makes any sense. I do vape at lower wattage then most. Ty for your answer, if you remember could you let me know either on this thread or pm the results of the singlesI have several singles steeping. I think I'm going to find it will take a mix of a few orange, tangerine, and mandarins to get a solid mandarin flavor.
I'll come back and let you know. Probably be a couple of weeks.Ty for your answer, if you remember could you let me know either on this thread or pm the results of the singles
Yes it's probably similar to strawberry in the sense that combining several companies flavours gives an added dimension to the vape...... even after 3 years of mixing still trying for a strawberry that doesn't fade
Thank you Mattiem!I worked on an orange flavor for quite a while but it always seemed to be missing something. For me that something was lemon. I found I had to make it in small batches though because the lemon seems to fade pretty quickly.
my final recipe...
Citrus Delight
10% Juicy Orange (Capella)
5% orange cream TFA
4% lemon (TFA)
4% mandarin orange (TFA)
2% Tangerine (Capella)
Lemon juice - 1 drop per 3ml (yep, just the little yellow plastic lemon)
optional- a drop or 2 of sweetener per ml
This is a mix and vape recipe so no steeping is necessary.
Interesting recipe, I'll give 'er a go when I receive my next flavour order, though if you don't mind will probably reduce the %' s as my recipes are between 12 n 17%. I don't mind at all. Fine tuning to our own taste is the best thing about mixing our own e-liquid. I don't normally use this high a percentage but found this one needed it to taste right for me.Interesting recipe, I'll give 'er a go when I receive my next flavour order, though if you don't mind will probably reduce the %' s as my recipes are between 12 n 17%. That makes sense as probably the flavours react to each other during the presteep, considering doing the same soon as I'm finding with 6 adv's and testing new recipes its easy to fall behind with mixing.I don't mind at all. I liked this one so well that I mixed a flavoring blend for it and just use the blend when I mix up another 15mls of it. I have found by doing that I can use less than the original 25%. I actually just used 15% the last time I mixed and it was still good for me.
I don't know it I can write this the way I am thinking it but by making a blend of the flavors it seems to keep the same balance of flavors and one is able to use less of the blend to get the same taste. Hope this is clearer than mud![]()
I have half a dozen mixes that I have made blends for. Sure makes mixing up a bottle of them much easier. oops... I just saw the question mark. Yes, this one is a shake and vape. That makes sense as probably the flavours react to each other during the presteep, considering doing the same soon as I'm finding with 6 adv's and testing new recipes its easy to fall behind with mixing.
If you do this with other recipes do you find it reduces steep times thinking of creams and bakery flavours as the above is a shake n vape?
Unfortunately my favorite supplier was out of marshmallow both Tfa and Capella and I didn't want to get one I've never used so concentrates will have to wait until after my next order. I have been using Tfa meringue as a sub and it is working but I taste the difference.I have half a dozen mixes that I have made blends for. Sure makes mixing up a bottle of them much easier.
I think it does reduce the time a bit but I can't swear to it. I still let my mixes with cream set for at least a couple of weeks. I just mix up more when I get down to about 30 mls. Once one is set on a few favorites it is easier to always have some well aged juice ready to vape.
