I really enjoy both of these units but would like to inexpensively try 'something more'.
I see a lot about LR atomizers and LR cartomizers but don't really understand the electrical requirements,

Will LR versions work on the standard batteries the come with the Kd808 and/or the automatic 510 units?

Thanks...
Lovin' the experience so far

Welcome to ECF!

To supply the power to properly supply a LR atty or carto you should have a larger battery.
The technology of batteries right now is such that the cigarette size just can't handle it.

An ego or pig-cig, fat battery models are only the size of a fat pen, the pictures make them
look much larger than they actually are life size.

LR attys and cartos give you a hotter vapor, more burnt tastes IMO, good for some juices,
not so good for others.

You need a fat battery version with more power to use LR attys and cartos. The fat battery versions have enough charge to handle the power draw of the LR things, and stronger switches inside to deal the increased power draw.

510 -> Ego or Riva 510 (stick with something that can use the Ego tanks if they interest you)

808 -> CigEasy's Elegant Easy or the PigCig (or you can get a 510 to 808 adapter for Ego or Riva above and use the KR8 cartos on it)
