There is a PCC I would like to buy for 808 manual batteries, but the website says only automatics fit. The case looks like it is one where a silver threaded piece tilts out of the case and you screw the battery on (don't know if there is an actual term for that). My question is why the batteries won't fit? Isnt' it possible to just screw the batteries on so the button is up and it doesn't have to slide down into the indentation?

If you don't require the PCC to be closed while charging, yes, that should work. If you do need it to be closed, then it is luck of the draw as to whether that manual button will happen to be in a favorable location, or if it would be pressed (firing) when you push the battery down into the case.

Some PCCs are too stupid to charge manuals for some reason - don't know how to digitally talk with them or something. Some cases just have no clearance for the button. Like some DSE901 PCCs cannot charge manuals - they have solid round tubes for the batteries to slide into and would rip a button off. I have charged big-button KR808D-1 manuals with the Vapor4Life PCC (it's metal though and a bit heavy). And the Smokeless Image Volt manuals have a very tiny button, almost recessed - hard to press but it's hard to imagine it interfering with a case closing etc.

So not only are there space issues, there could be compatibility issues as well? I'm glad I read your post before I ordered! I'll have to email the company and found out which issue causes the problem.
