My "short" (not really short, as I didn't know there were 3 sizes. I'm referring to the mid-size battery) manual battery began having problems with the button not activating the battery after about a week or so. It still works but pressing the button is not consistently activating the battery as sometimes it requires 2-3 presses in order to get it to start. I also ordered an XL manual battery to have a spare around and it, too, has now started to have the SAME problem.

Does anybody know anything about this? I'm not a heavy vaper, nor a chain vaper. I use them regularly but within reasonable limits: not letting liquid leak into them (even though I know it's less of an issue with the manuals), cleaning them daily with alcohol swipes, and not letting them fully die before charging. Does anybody know what this could be?

Kinda disappointed.

Zer0xity sir buttons on the manuals can get sticky for a number of reasons. One of them being getting juice into the button (if you refilled and got some on your fingers then vaped it's quite easy to get some in there). There are a few tricks to fixing it, but none are a sure fix every time. You can blow into the button (no carto attached), give the button a massage, or soak the batt in alcohol. The first two in combination have around a 75% success rate for me, the last worked very well for a day, then... A good tip is to wash your hands before returning to vaping after filling....
