Manual Switch Question

When using kissbox or 801 mod or 801 kit with a manual switch, is it possible to run the manual switch on stand alone batteries or must the e-cig manual always be connected with a usb wire?

For example, DSE801 / 4027 with Janty "Manual switch + Battery" should operate fine right?

Or A Janty kissbox can operate manual switch without being corded?

Can the 801 kits (east mall and e-cig mall) disconnect the usb and still operate the manual switch or does this power them down?

Perhaps I'm trying to ask if the 801 manual switch kits "special" batteries built into the passthrough can be replaced, and if not doesnt it go BAD like a normal battery (if so why is it built into the passthough)? And can the cable pull out so the pen is free or are you "always corded.

Sorry if this is not really clear, I can re edit my post if thats the case.

Thanks
MB

MB--the answer is yes. The battery will charge when it is plugged into the USB port. Once charged, you may disconnect it and vape with the passthough unpluged-----Sun

Thank you so much sun you always save me :) That was really giving me trouble figuring out if they disconnect.

With the manual switch kits from both mall shops, don't these kits also have built in batteries on the special usb passthrough which can go bad? I assume are not replaceable, you would need to buy the whole new special passthrough again?

Phalse--the battery can be replace --not an issue at all so not to worry about that--very inexpensive---Sun

Awesome! Yeah I just read a thread just about passthrough and understand a bit more.

Right now I have settled on a Black 801/4027 with blue led, +janty manual switch, + 2 janty batteries.

I'm trying to decide how to charge my janty batteries.
Seems from what sun said the janty wall charger would be a waste and with this build I should get a regular janty passthrough instead of the janty wall charger.

I know it seems like I should just buy a kissbox but I kind of wanted a 801/4027 instead....

Reasons are :

1) I think the 801 atomizer is perfect for the type of e-smoke i want (yeah i can use 801 atomizers on kiss box but I don't want to)

2) Blue led (lame reason but....)

3) don't want to deal with jantys customer service waiting on my main pen kit

4) decent amount of 801 fall back parts even though to use em I would have to switch to automatic from manual

5) Best of both worlds, 801 penstyle design with janty switch and battery which are seperated into a better design than the 801s. Possibly a better seal there to provent juice reaching passthough.

Phales--This statment right here says it all :

You hit a home run there--that is right on point, so I think you answered your own question and just get the passthrough with it---Sun

Yep, I agree.

Also yeah I think the wall charger is no good for me and if I'm getting an external usb power pack, I don't need it.

Janty Passthrough it is.

Another reason is "cheaper carts" overall, since waiting for janty to send you replacements would take Janty forever to resupply a heavy smoker with replacement parts....
