Ok today I'm going to do a mod kit which I was sent for the purposes of a review.
we have the 'manvap' Gent 80w mod kit,
*my views are mine alone*
inside the kit itself we had the built-in 2200 mah mod itself
1 tank which comes pre-installed with a 0.3 ohm coil (rating 30w-80w)
two additional coils
1 spare glass tube
user manual
warranty card (which also has a benefit for registering with a 1-year warranty and a box of 5 coils as a reward which is a pretty nice touch.. Least thats what the Warrenty card suggest)
6 x 10 ml 70/30 VG PG e-liquids no nicotine
PACKAGING :
it is a very well presented box it has all your warning labels for example, obviously your made in China, your packaging recycling labels, your CE markings all things like that obviously all the contact information you may require from each representative; European authorised representative; United Kingdom authorised representative, manufacturer information and all this kind of thing, as well as all your social media QR codes.
Inside the box everything is laid out really nicely you have all 6 bottles of liquid as well as the MOD and the tank all fitted in him nice foam cut out
packaging,
the packaging on the actual e-liquid the first thing that comes on is a film wilh tear tape stripped attached to all the bottles, on the bottles is also a production date as well as an expiry you have your clear manufacturing label run the front of it as well as your flavour, however any relevant information on the bottle is in German language .
The tank
The one of the first things I did when I opened up and the tank was I had a little look obviously the coil and the base section of the tank. One of the first things that I come to think about it was as soon as I saw that coil was the Aspire nautilus, at the top of my head I know the Nautilus range doesn't have such a high wattage coil so I decided to ask a friend of mine see what he thought, he seemed to think it was rather similar to the Aspire Atlantis which makes sense because bvc style aswel as wider chamber. And as well as the fact it looks like the Aspire Atlantis tank itself with couple differences. One of these differences being Top Cap with built in 510 drip tip, instead of old style bottomfill tanks this is has its own independent fill port at the top of the tank under the drip tip section which you cannot put your own on. The airflow is really nice to use it's really it's not too loose but it's not overly tight, and it moves freely you don't need to get a big grab on it to force it round.
Ok the Mod...
the mod is different is Tiny it's really compact it kinda reminds me of an old kangertech K Box 40 but obviously this has a 2200 mah built-in battery wire the Old kangers were built in 18650, there may have even been a built in lipo version in subox range, even the chip inside has that classic kangertech texting on it nothing too extravagant no voltage settings just your basic wattage adjustment , ohms reader and your voltage when you're firing as well as a screen flip which makes absolutely no sense when you considered the only way the text is horizontal is when you've got them on its side.
One of the things I find strange with this it's got a perfect cut out for a tank to be sat on it however the tank has provided is so much bigger than the actual cut out it's almost like this mod originally was built for mouth to lung tank because I can imagine an eleaf GS tank sat up of this can't say this Certain because I haven't used GS tank in quite a long while but it looks like it'll be a pretty good fit.
Power.
One of the things have noticed about this mods it doesn't perform the same as a 60 w on this other device I've used various devices at 60 was using the same tank and the same coil being tested on a geekvape AEGiS X, geekvape obelisk 200w, eleaf ikuu i200 & even a Kangertech kBox 200... The Gent seems lot more gentle then the rest.
Battery.
I don't find this battery holding out very long especially at the higher wattage is it desires, especially when you have that power drop aswel
Coil Compatibility.
Even though this looks like an Aspire Atlantis coil I'm not 100% sure I would be using the aspire atlantis coils straight away. However i would probably double check with Manvap to see if the Atlantis coils can truly be used with this tank if you are looking to it and use different variations because perhaps the 0.3 is to of a low coil for you. Or at least find another alternative to run at lower wattage
The juice.
I think having 60ml of juice to try is really good touch it's really thoughtful, it's a really good little marketing technique I mean technically you've got everything you need all the one box.
To be fair but not too bad little juices I'm not going to review each from one by one, but from what you get all-in-one package is fantastic
General thought.
How would I rate this that is a good question... I wouldn't see this device suitable for someone that already into DirectLine vaping the first thing they're going to find this mod is not very powerful even at the wattages it's supposed to be. However if someone is literally just started to get into Direct lung vaping or this might be the first sub-ohm device this is a perfect you have everything you require all-in-one kit you have three coils, you have 6x 10ml 70/30 VG PG 0 nicotine juices. Nicely presented and its not very expensive for what you get..
Thank you Manvap
