Ok so where do i start...

I have a silver bullet and have been vaping using a 4.2volt 2900 Li-Ion battery with a LR 510 Atty at around 1.5 or 1.8 ohms (been a while since i tested all of them with my multimeter).

I am on my last LR atty and am thinking about getting the A7 rebuildable atty from empiremods. My concern is the they say "USE CAUTION WHEN USING THIS WITH UNPROTECTED DEVICES". I am assuming something that a provari or a darwin has to protect it from shorts while I dont think the silver bullet has this protection except for the hot spring. Will this possibly cause the battery and hot spring to fry if something happens or is a rebuildable fairly safe to use (most if not all rebuildables have the same caution)? I eventually plan to buy some 400x400 SS mesh and some heating coil and make my own coils in the future to save even more on money (and better flavor).

I am also thinking about getting the Kick. I know I will need to buy some IMR batteries, but this is fine since I have been using 3 LI-Ion batteries for about a year and figure they will eventually stop holding a decent charge soon. I have three questions regarding the Kick... First, Does it matter how many ohms the atty has since the kick will "adjust" to find the sweet spot for each one? i.e. LR atty at 1.5 and a SR Atty at 2.3, they will all act the same? Or if a make my own Coil and one is 1.7 and the next time its 2.4 will it act the same (same flavor, vapor?) Second question... Will the kick protect from shorts? If i use a rebuildable atty, will this be safer and not cause the battery to fry (or the hot spring) if something happens? Third question... How many watts am I using if I vape at 4.2 volts, LR atty at 1.5 or 1.8 ohms? (this is for setting up the kick in the future).

I plan to buy the A7 first and eventually getting the kick in my next one or two paychecks. Should I wait to use them together (if the kick protects from shorts)? Or is the A7 safe to use without a kick for the time being?

Thank you everyone!

Even with normal atomizers, I use nothing but IMR batteries in my SB, and that battery is always sitting on top of one of these:
ElectronicStix.Com : Vape Safe Mod Battery Fuse - Vapesafestd

You will find that the Kick will limit the watt output of a very low resistance atomizer lower than what the high drain IMR battery will provide all by it's self. I have a Kick for my SB, but use it to reduce the wattage, not raise it.
