Hey ladies n gents,

I'm having some serious cartomizer issues. I've used about 6 different brands of cartomizer and I can't find anything that I like. Ego Cartos taste like molten plastic, The IKV mega holds a ton of juice but tastes dry after about an hour, XL Clearomizers (Ce2) are fantastic, taste great, wick well, but they tend to taste like rubber sometimes, they're also fragile (both the electronics AND the shell) and tend to leak and gurgle when laid on their side or held upside down for any length of time. I want something that I can put in my case and carry around all day (even if I have to carry 2 or 3) in my jacket, or cargo pocket, and do normal daily stuff without the thing gurgling or flooding or leaking out half of the juice.

I've narrowed it down the the fluxomizer ce2, which are apparently better than the royal ce2, the ego tank carts and tank atty, or a mini MAP tank in 2.8ohm. What do you folks think? I'm leaning towards the eGo tank system. If the map tanks or fluzomizers leak, please let me know. I want something that I can fall down a flight of stairs, or put in the dryer (metaphorically speaking, I just want to be able to put it in my pocket or set it on its side) and not lose any juice.

Now, the map tank mod is based on the clearomizers, so if you had a problem with them leaking you might have the same problems with the map tank. Personally I went with the tank atty/carts. I already had an ego style battery, so I just ordered 1atty and 5 carts, and an hour after getting it from liberty flights I had ordered my wife and I each a full ego-Tank kit from iVape.net. I have had some carts leak, but not many considering the amount of juice I go through. Vie had it for a little over two weeks, go through 6-10 tank carts a day, and have had 4 full cartridges leak out. It's a little bit of a learning curve when you get it. If you draw too hard you flood the atty, and gravity can take over if it's mouthpiece side up for a while and drain the whole tank. If you don't draw hard enough, it doesn't get the juice to the atty. I also wear it on a lanyard, and I have to wear it mouth piece side down to keep the flooding from happening. Once I got that all taken care of. I love it, and my wife hasn't had one leak yet! Well good luck on your hunt.

The point of the MAP tank is that it does NOT leak, unlike the clearomizers. MAP was made because the clearomizers have some serious problems, but people like the general principle/internals. So people in the US take apart the clearomizers and stick them in the MAP tank. MAP is by far the most popular option, people seem to love it. I think they're too expensive, because they will really only hold one juice at a time, and I like to switch around. But in terms of being indestructible - this is where it's at. That's precisely why the exist.

I'd recommend the e2 over the ce2, they seem to work better, but what do I know.

The regular sized MAP is definetly better than the mini...I have both and the mini just doesn't seem to be able to hold much juice. Neither leak, but you can't lay them on thier side if they are on the fuller side, or they flood like a regular attie will. I also have the EGO T tanks & atties and I actually use them more that the MAPS, tho I really like both.

Yeah, and my problems are leak-related, so I just got two totally contradictory points here. I absolutely can imagine the map tank being a leaky system, and I was told in passing that the ego-T tanks would help. Now I'm thinking maybe I should just go with boge 510's and get a bunch of them so that when I'm out and about I'll just carry 5 boge's with no concerns, rather than carrying a MAP or a t-tank and worrying about it.
Uplink, my clear-o leaks are caused by 1 of 2 things, maybe both. 1) When tipped on its side, the juice goes under the heatshrink and into the tube. 2) The juice gets into the ceramic cup and makes its way into the tube. I find it difficult to see how the MAP gets around either of these problems. I'll keep drippin and using the IKV gold v2 for now and see how long they last, maybe I'll just stick with these.

The map tank WILL leak if left on it's side. The eGo-T's will not. I have both and I love them both, but I love my map more than the eGo-T's. There are some issues with the eGo-T's in that sometimes they have wicking problems and/or flooding problems. I have very few issues with the eGo-T's, but I love the idea of the map tank and having to fill one tank and have it last me all day. The one drawback with the map, aside from not being able to lay it on its side, is that it seems to need to be cleaned and dry burned after each tank otherwise the performance is diminished a good amount. Today, I didnt have time to clean my the ce2 this morning and so I just filled it up and off to work I went. I wasnt getting a satisfying hit off it all day and ended up using my eGo-T's. Thankfully I had tucked them in my purse when I left. But let me tell ya, when the ce2 is clean, ahhhhh the map tank just rocks. Love it.

Thanks guys. Now would volcano's tankomizer fit the regular joye ego, and the regular ego tanks? They look identical but the Volcano inferno tankomizer and tanks are a lot cheaper. It also comes in more colors, which I like.

I'm not going to mess with any more ce2 products. I'm just going to use stuffed cartos, dripping and (probably) the ego tanks. In all likelyhood the next time I order my monthly juice I'm going to get a 5pack of Boge's or IKV's and a tank setup. I'll play around with my IKV gold and gold v2's for a week or so before I decide between ikv and Boge. But I definitely think it's a good idea NOT to bother with a map tank since my PV is going to be spending a lot of time in the case in my pocket.

Another vote for the eGo tank, I have the MAP tank and am having to replace the inside atomizer part about once a week.

I have the fluxomizers and they are hit or miss, sometimes the fluxomizer will draw well and sometimes it seems like it does not get enough liquid and has a burnt taste.

I am back to using the eGo tank full time now.

When I first got the Volcano tank system I went with the black tanks (black tip, clear tank) to match the rest of the PV but someone gave me a clear one and it's awesome because you can actually see how much juice is left. I've only had one leak and it was on a tank I had refilled a dozen times and left sitting sideways for nearly an hour. All things considered, I've been really happy with them.

I have all three.... Map, Mini Map, and eGo T.... I don't touch my eGo T anymore. I use my map all day every day. I don't leave mine on it's side because I heard they leak that way- I just never did it. I don't get a burnt taste with the Map I use a dark juice 555 60/40 and clean my map after every fill! The juice I have taste better than it ever did in my Map. I don't think I will ever go back as I enjoy filling the Map Tank and don't have to worry about running out of juice while driving to work which can take me close to an hour. I have never gotten juice in my mouth as I have before from drawing to hard with the eGo T... I can chain vape the Map and it doesn't get warm to the touch as my eGo did nor do I get a burnt taste and my hands don't have juice on them anymore from doing constant refills. Oh yeah I forgot to add -THEY PRODUCE A TON OF VAPE.... I NEVER NEW MY JUICE COULD PRODUCE THIS MUCH CLOUD !!!! It is so sweet to watch!
The Map Tank has become my new friend.... They are very hard to get as they sell out fast.. COV is expecting some more this week - if the ohms you want are not available I would get what ever you can get your hands on and replace the XL CE2 with the ohms you desire.

Good Luck.... My vote is the Map Tank....

I LOVE MY MAPS !!!! (( I have 3 of them and all work perfect )))
edit:
P.S. The tube can't break as Bruce has a video of them running over one with a car... Mine have never leaked. If you get one that does leak because of error by the maker - Bruce will replace it for you. COV stands behind their products.... Some people have had leaking problems with there map..... Once they figure out on how to put it together correctly they don't have a leaking problem. here is a great video describing the Map Tank... http://player.stickam.com/flash/stickam he talks about the Map tank after he introduces the GG/stickam_player.swf?userType=205&userSiteID=1015547&langID=en&isOnStickam=0&zid=external&app=mmxPlayer.swf&userID=181329558&userName=vapetvlive&videoId=190795293

enjoy and hope you can get one !!!

I don't leave mine on it's side because I heard they leak that way

Unfortunately I don't have that option. It's gonna get shaken up, it's gonna go from vertical to side to upside down, I don't have the option to just set my PV down during daily activities or work. My handy little cig spot in my car is also horizontal, so it's gonna get set on its side. I know, it's a pain in the ..., but I don't think its too much to ask that I put a carto in my pocket and walk around with it without getting a mouthful of nicotine when I go to take a puff.

I'm getting about 3 hours out of the IKV gold v2 but the flavor's not as good as the Royal Ce2, but I'm about one more "gurgle" away from pitching the ce2's. I'll definitely try the ego tank system even though it's a little more than I'd like to spend on a trial and error product. I'd love to get a MAP but I'm very sick of having to unscrew, blow off, and wipe out just because I set the thing on its side, or it got shaken up in a pocket.

Ive got a map tank and it is pretty good about not leaking, but it does sometimes randomly leak. I've had a few problems with consistancy but it produces nice vapor at 6v (3.2ohm). Yes, it leaks when you lay it on its side. It has a bit of a learning curve. My first time using it I changed drip tips by holding the mod and pulling like I normally would. The tank slid off the bottom delrin stopper and poured a freshly filled 5ml all over my hands and lap. This happened two more times when other people picked it up by the tank section (weight of a silver bullet when lifted pulls the tank off). I havn't tried the mini, and they do vary from unit to unit so those may be characteristics specific to mine.

Fed up with how tempermental the map tank was, I've just ordered a vapemate. I dont have it yet but it looks like a much better solution to the tank issue. Solves the problem of putting 5ml of juice in a maptank and waiting to change flavors. Also it can be taken off instantly to convert to a smaller more socially friendly device. Which reminds me, I got the maptank for driving but its not really something if feel comfortable using in public what with its size and crazy looks. The map is good around the house when you can just stand your device on end but it makes my already large silver bullet pretty stupid big. hope that helps. Checkout the vapemate by supertmanufacturing

I should change the title of this thread to Map, Mini map, Ego tank, or polyfil, because I'm leaning towards the last two after what I've heard. The map would be awesome for "at home" but I'll just drip at home. I'll definitely grab an ego tank set, and right now I'm looking for a polyfil carto that I like. I'm testing the IKV Gold v1 right now and it's good. Better taste than the v2, and I like the filler better. I'm also stuck in an endless internal debate between GenJoye, Boge and the Smok Teck ones. If I get any kind of longevity out of these IKV's I'll stick with them.

Definately hated the ego tank. Too much of a drop in performance.

The Map tanks are fantastic on a VV. CE2R4s are always a little tricky, but if you can change the voltage around a bit you can always find a sweet spot. The normal MAP was actually a bit too large for me. The mini MAP is absolutely fantastic.

In terms of just regular cartomizers, I'll be sticking with the smoktech ones for a long time. They just won't die, lol. 2.0 ohm ones are fantastic on every mod we own.
