just got my map tank and am loving it. just a little confused as to what replacement parts i might need. not familiar with
ce2. heard alot about having to cut yourself. can they not be ordered to fit the tank? also where can i find these ce2? what kind of life should i get out of the original? sorry for all the questions but i have only been at this for a couple of months and this is my first venture into mods. thanks for all the help!

Bruce has the pre cut ones here. Just choose the connection and ohm level you want. They appear to be out of stock but they just did switch to a new website...

I all else fails you can order the steel (not clearomizer) XL CE2's, get a small pipe cutter and make them yourself.

He has a video showing how to do that about 12 mins in. (I do recommend taking all the rings out before pulling the 'guts' out).

Hi all! Maybe a dumb question, so please try not to throw things at me!:p

I was reading about clearomizers having problems with some kinds of juice making the plastic fragile. Do the MAP tanks have that problem??

Thanks!

Sue

No, it doesn't appear the MAP has that issue. You're mainly referring to juices like Atomic Cinnacide. One user says his MAP was unaffected by it, but Clearomizers have literally fallen apart from that juice. My theory is Clearomizers use a low-grade plastic vs acrylic tubing and delrin caps on the MAP.

The black ones will work just fine...I just cut one up...

Taking off the sticker is all up to you...doesn't affect it functionally in the MAP.

The bare tube is so tight in the delrin cap on mine it separated from the 510 connection when I disassembled it for cleaning. Can't imagine NOT removing the paper cover, no way it's gonna fit in the cap unless removed.
It was a bit difficult to get that little 'cut' piece out of the delrin cap too :(

It's REALLY difficult!

I've seen the YouTube vids and they make it look easy.

I have a couple tanks and they do not fit the same both the 510 & the caps are different on each one . Hand made things are never the same. I used some 400 grit wet & dry to make the caps smaller and the 510 bigger worked good. Remember to remove the 0 rings on the caps and you might also have to use a file on the 0 ring slot to get it to fit deeper into the cap.

I just tried the KR808D inside my Map using the 510:901 adapter on the eGo batt.... The adapter made the draw really tight super tight: like sucking a McDonalds frozen/thick and fresh milk shake through a straw and being upset that the ice cream can't reach my taste-buds.

I thought something was wrong. After a little research on the web and power of Google I found that COV's 510:901 adapters are adjustable for air flow. If you already new.....Sorry but, for others this link might help you. YouTube - S2V cartomizer adapter airflow adjustment Thought I would share for others.... This KR808 is drawing smoother if not better than the 510. I'm liking these very much...

Thanks Bruce !!! COV rocks.

I LOVE MY MAPS !!!!!

The one I received the carto was in so tight that the threadings broke when I tried to change it. It wouldn't budge. Metal part of carto is still stuck in there. Contacted Bruce to see if I can get that "carto end-piece" replaced. I'll pay I don't care because otherwise the thing is great. Changing the carto was not as easy as in the video...on mine anyway.
