It is easy to cut your own cartos. Just takes a $5.00 small pipe cutter. Watch!

i wasn't able to see the whole thing cos for some reason the video stops right after you do the "how to"... :(
i tried on explorer and on google chrome.

I just tried mine and I dont know whats going on. I can hear the atty firing but I cant get any vapor to come out. It's almost as if there is a seal.

Any ideas?

I'm using a ProVari if that makes a difference.

Had it on too tight, works fine now...

Some observations about the tank mods, now that I have used them for a while.

First off - Big props to Stormi, I had some problems with my storm tank and he took care of it. The outer tube was sliding around quite a bit once I put juice in the tank and that made putting the mouth piece on that much more difficult. He sent me another one and it works much better.

I now have 3 MAP tanks ( don't hate me ;) ), one with each ohm rating. ( 2.4 / 2.8 / 3.2 ) While putting together the third tank ( 2.8 ohm ) I noticed the CE2 was built slightly different. ( both wires went all the way down to threaded end, the others had the pos wire soldered in the middle of the tube ) This made me look at the CE2 more closely and I noticed that the center tube had a film on it that was slightly tacky to the touch, and when I put the tank back together the ceramic cup went up into the delrin plug too far. I took it back apart and found that the whole cup assembly would slide up and down on the center tube over an 1/8". I slid it down and gave it a few twist to take up the slack in the wires, then put it through a cleaning cycle. I put it back together and the plug went down the perfect distance over the ceramic cup. ( just barely not touching the wicks )

This made me take another look at the other 2, and while the cup is stationary, I noticed the delrin plug was close enough to slightly compress the wicks. This may be causing the slight burnt taste I am getting from the 3.2 ohm tank. I had put this down to thick juice and it hasn't gone through its first cleaning. ( I find that the CE2's tend to work a little better after the first cleaning )

As I just happened to have bought a pack each of the 2.8 & 3.2 ohm CE2's, I broke out my brand new pipe cutter to check them out. By the way, if you buy the cheapest pipe cutter, expect the cheapest construction. After putting a carto in and making sure it was seated properly with a little pressure, I started spinning away. After 4 or 5 revolutions and it wasn't getting any looser, I took a look and the cutter wheel had walked down the tube instead of putting a circular cut in it. The 2.8 ohm carto had the pos wire soldered in the middle of the tube and the cup was not loose. ( opposite of the 2.8 that came with the tank ) The 3.2 ohm carto had the pos wire in the middle but the cup was loose. ( wire in same position but cup was not loose on the 3.2 that came with tank ) I only cut one carto from each pack, I'll sound off later if I find there are different cartos in the same pack. The 3.2 lined up with just a little clearance over the wicks.

BRUUUUCE... :) ...You need to give Martinez a call, and we may need to consider making the Lexan tube appx 2mm's longer.

That's all for now.... VAPE ON people :vapor:

Thanks vpndrn..... I'm presently vapeing a 2.8 and have the others just like you.... I'm really enjoying this Map Tank... I just started to experience the burnt taste after my 3rd filling up.... Going to clean the 2.8 tomorrow and use the 3.2 next....

My setup right now is using an eGo battery waiting for my super mini GLV.... Did I say I'm loving this Map...? Because I do !
I think we will hear more and more about peoples experience with these as 100 were just sold last week. Mine has no leaks, no juice in the mouth, and lots of vaper! I did have a gurgling at one point - All I did was dc the bat and clean the small amount of juice at the connection! after cleaning that It worked perfect again !!!
