So I've seen the O-rings brought up a few times, and never really got into those posts as I've never experienced any leaking with my MAPs. Is this preventative maintenance or am I just lucky?

I've found that the O-rings will collect detritus after a few fills which causes some leakage. Just pull them off, rinse/soak in alcohol, clean out the track occasionally and you’re good to go again. It is possible to nick the rubber – if that happens replace.

Overall, they seem to last quite will with a little care… ‘course tomorrow I’ll have one pop.

Thanks Bruce. Are the o-rings on the site? I will order a few the next time I place an order for cartos.
I damaged one during dis-assembly when cleaning. They hold up pretty well. I have had the tank for a few months and have taken it apart just about every day for cleaning, dry burning and re filling.

Thanks again.

I've used #41 (9/16 X 7/16 X 1/16) from home depot, however there about 1/32 of an inch smaller, but they work. Not sure of the composition of the rubber though.

Based on the above post I would say it is a AS568A Dash Number 014, however it still needs to be verified.

Bruce from COV sent me some O-Rings for my MAP tank, thank you Bruce.

I measured the O-Ring and the size is; AS568A Dash Number 013.

AS568A Dash No. O-Ring Sizing Chart

Measurement are; ID: 7/16" x OD: 9/16" x Width: 1/16"

Can someone please verify the material of the O-Rings from the following link?

McMaster-Carr

TIA
