Thanks for the updates AG, Jeff.
How frequently are you having to replace the coil and the spike wick?
Hey darco
For me the whole purpose for me to go the direction of the repairable was consistency & dependable and less cost.I found what I consider is my perfect vaping experience. it will hit great all the time I do not have to worry about being out and about and it failing.
I change my coil every 2 weeks & I change my spike once a month I use oxidized mesh and 3 peices of Bulli wick rolled up in the mesh.
Without a doubt I know my coil will last longer then 2 weeks. The spike set-up to I also heard many just replace just the wick in the spike like once every 3 weeks or once a month and reuse the Stainless Mesh some have had the same mesh for 5 and 6 months.
How long someone’s repairable setup last will vary by a lot of factors it depends on the way you vape the amount you vape the e-liquid you use the quality of the materials you use to rebuild your atomizer temperature wise if you are building coils that are extremely hot or cooler running ? What is the volt's or watts....... soo many things! To take into account
As for me I want my atomizer to hit awesome and great every time I want it to be consistent every time I do not want to let it start degrading then have to do a series of things and all that tinkering like doing dry burns to hopefully get it some life and kick back into it.
For the few pennies it cost me to make a coil I would rather just replace it every 2 weeks and not have to worry about it ‘s consistency & Dependability and all. We have all bought atomizers and customizers and we know how they degrade over time. How many times did you leave the house the atomizer or carto was doing OK but now it dropped in performance and you don't have a new one with you. Or you have that brand new atomizer and it failed after only 2 day's. Or that DOA I remember one time I ordered like qty 15 510 LR atties and like 3 of them were bad and another few just hit weaker then they should of.
Before I did not have a choice now I do and I would rather just replace it before performance degrades or it fails as for tinkering with It and dry burns to maybe or maybe not get it back performing at the level it should. I can spend less time just rebuilding it and it guaranteed to work awsome. We are talking a whole few cents here it is a win win any way you add it up. Heck all I carry is Juice batteries and maybe my vapemate if I decide I want a flavor blast of dripping without the hassel.
Just my 2 cents and that's about what it cost to rebuild one of my repairable atomizers…..LOL
Hope this helps best wishes
