Have you sent a letter? I understand why you're jaded, but please send in a letter and make clear that are you from MA by including your address.

Yes. I am jaded but always do my part no matter what. It's funny Boston is one of the birth places of freedom and they take more rights away.

I wonder if anyone started a Facebook or twitter for this. Im not good with Facebook but would be happy to start a informational twitter account.

I sent this info out to about 75 family and friends in Mass.

Although I'm not from MA, I consider this an important issue. Get your friends from MA to vote! I can't vote there, since I'm not a constituent, but I still sent the email... If one state does it, others may be more likely to do so... How would you like to be one of those people that have to check the box to add tax? :)
If nothing else, send an email to inspire fear and loathing in those politicians... :)

Just a note...

Doing nothing is going to lead nowhere.
And sending an email is WAY better than doing nothing.

But if you can afford to do so, mailing a letter, sending a fax, or calling directly are all more effective.

We stopped them in Hawaii when they tried to pull this crap.
And now it's time to do it again, because nobody is going to do it for us.

I'm a totally-non-political person, but what the heck, it can't hurt to send a couple letters, right? I'm neither democrat nor republican, and like most free-thinking people, I'm part liberal and part conservative.

As a MA resident, I just wrote to the rep and senator for my district, neither of whom are on the committee drafting the bill, however, they're supposedly representing me, so hopefully they'll listen to my opinion and talk to their colleagues.

GOOD NEWS: The formal session of the MA legislature has concluded. The bill is, for all intents and purposes, dead. And if it rises from the grave, we'll know about it.

Phone calls and letters are no longer needed. Those in MA should consider thanking the Majority Leader of the MA House, as he has apparently made some sort of 'no new taxes' pledge.
