I've been reading and asking questions all day - waiting for my husband to get home so we can try this out together. So he gets home and asks me where is the manual?

8-o Yeah, I guess Cigtechs doesn't put one in with them. Sooo, I was wondering if anyone out there knows if there are manuals for the Joye 510 out there on the internet anywhere? I've done a search on this forum and on Google and all I get are results for manual battery not manual like a book. I was on another thread today talking about using the device for 20 minutes before charging, etc. and now I'm wondering how dumb we are witout a manual.

I'm actually batting zero with this whole thing today. I went out to get VG so we'd be prepared (no juice in the mail today) and no drug stores had it. So basically we're sitting here looking at this stuff dying to try it but feeling super dumb. Suggestions, cautions before we just go for it?

Follow the link below to Innovapor (it's the video section). You may have to sign in and/or register to their site to view the vids. Scroll down to where it says "Intro to 510". And then to "510 user guide". This will get you started painlessly. =)

Thanks :) I did get an email from Chris at Cigtechs saying that they do provide manuals but did not get them with their last shipment.

I just don't understand what to do with the thing - I mean do you just start toking away on it the way it comes out of the box? Do we have to put a cartridge in there or is there already one? I did watch a few videos that were helpful but none really adressed what to do straight out of the box.

The ultra-brief version....

1. Charge your battery.
2. Screw the atomizer onto the battery.
3. insert cartridge into atomizer.
4. Practice your vape. It's not like smoking an analog. It will take some time to learn. I always recommend a slow pull in a quiet room so you can hear your atty crackling.

Did you get cartridges with caps on them and yellow-ish looking filters inside? Most come with several prefilled carts to get you started. The standard package has 5. I would click on the search button and read on "aligning carts". This isn't something that is covered in any manual.

I went to hobby lobby and picked up some Wilton's brand glycerin. It is food grade vegetable glycerin. I have heard that Walmart carries it, but I am yet to find it. If you have no juice but want to vape a good alternative (but no nicotine) is to mix about a 50/50 mix of Wilton's glycerin with distilled water. Kind of a sweet flavor but nothing great. You can still get your vape on this way. Hope this helps!

That Wilton's glycerin must be some thick stuff...

I mix my generic glycerin about 90/10 with water or Everclear to get it down to PG consistency.

That's great! Have fun:D

Do you have a bakery supply or other cooking supply company? They should have glycerine.

Did you check the candy-making section of Walmart? I think they have it--or any hobby store that has candy-making supplies.

Lorann's also has it, if you are planning to order any flavoring.
