To my fellow e-cigarette newbies...

Today I am in receipt of two Joye 510 manuals while waiting to research & acquire a new mod. What a difference the manual ignitor makes! There's noway I would ever again buy an automatic Joye 510.

Please take the time to research items pre-buy. There are a lot of coupon codes out there, saving you a lot of money for your well-earned research time.

So if you're looking "for that perfect hit," please consider buying a manual and not an automatic Joye 510; there is a HUGE difference between the two. On that same note, try acquiring a Joye 510 USB pass-through, I've heard they also give *extraordinary* great hits. I will be in receipt of one of these nifty units & will be using it by the weekend.

Here's to happy & healthy vaping! :)

I was actually just looking at the joye-510 after ordering a kb808d-1 a few days ago. Mind going into the perks of the manual over the automatic a bit? I'm still a bit indecisive of auto or manual.....
Sure! The manual requires you to deeply inhale several times (as "primer puffs") versus the manual... When you press the manual button on the Joye 510, it "does the priming for you" as it "forces a hit out" from the atomizer. So, there is much less work involved on your part in getting a "perfect" inhalation. However, I am still a firm believer in taking one or two "primer puffs," it's totally unneccessary to do with a Joye 510 manual bat.

Hope this helps! Have a good one. :)

A manual lets you burn the atomizer longer as well as giving you the ability to prime the atomizer up before hitting it.

Manual batteries do not activate because of loud noises, like autos have been reported to do. Many an atty has been fried in a nightclub, worksite, or convertible car (or even in a hard-top with the windows down)... say, what's that smell? Sure, they can go off by accidentally depressing the button, but you have more control over that.

Manuals are generally easier to draw on, since they do not rely on airflow to activate.

Manuals are all "sealed" batteries, so juice can't leak from the atty into the air tube and wreck the battery or switch. This is especially important if you direct drip (see the link in my signature).

Manuals have longer "cut-off" times, and often have NO cut-off time. The cut-off time is the amount of time before the battery automatically stops providing electrical current to the atomizer (it's a safety feature to keep noobs from killing atomizers). Autos commonly have 3 to 5 second cut offs. Manuals commonly have cut off times ranging from 5 seconds to no cut off at all.

Manuals allow more control and flexibility in vaping technique. The heating element can be more precisely controlled, since airflow is not relevant to it's activation. For example, you press the button and begin a "direct inhale", feel a little heat, release the button a couple of seconds while continuing to inhale, to cool the atty a bit (a little vapor is still being produced by residual heat), hit the button again for more vapor, etc. With a little practice, and some good juice, direct inhaling while using this on/off technique can produce tons of vapor, and massive throat hits. In fact, the first time you try it may be the first time you've put down your eCig since you first got it. :)

All the cool kids use manuals. Just kidding. I only mean that the majority of ECF-ers prefer manuals, and there are good reasons for that.

Now, having said all of that, a lot of experienced, long-term vapers still prefer autos. They are aware of, and able to overcome, the short-comings of the autos so they can enjoy the advantages. Advantages like "hands-free vaping" while typing, for example (if you have strong and tireless teeth and jaws).

My totally unfounded opinion is that Manuals are more rugged and reliable (I mean, jeeze, just look at the switching mechanisms).

Here are the current poll results among ECF members. Remember these polls are bad science, and not rigorous statistical evidence. They only show the results of those who chose to participate. At the time of this post, it is currently 75.76% Manual, 17.8% Auto, 6.44% No Preference.

She ment to say the automatic requires, not the manual in the above sentence.

The reason all the mods are manual and the top small size PV is manual is because they are far superior to auto's in just about every category. There was a poll on here months ago on which was better and the manual PV's won by something like a margin of 95% to 5%.
